RE: Freezing Fried Squash
Yes this can be done. I cook the squash and onions, let it cool and put into freezer bags for wintertime use. I also cut fresh squash into coins, lay them flat on cookie sheet, pop into the freeze about 30 minutes, take out and put directly into freezer bags and the freezer. These can be used int he future for frying or casseroles. ... View related article.

RE: Making a Family Food Budget
For sure. Take advantage of BOGO items that you use, then you can start your "stash". Look in the "reduced" meats and purchase to freeze and use at a later date. If it is still in date....freezing is ok. Also I always look at the stores scratch and dents. I can find cat foods, cream of soups, rices, diced tomatoes and so much more. ... View related article.

RE: Uses for Dried Chili Peppers
I too grow peppers every year and freeze them. They are great when cooking beans or any kind during the year, chop up in cornbread and bake, cut in clices and can in a vinegar/sugar/spice mixture and use all year long as a topper on greens, beans or whatever you like hot spicey stuff on. I even throw them in the crockpot when cooking a roast, chicken or whatever. ... View related article.
