RE: Buying Candle Stick Inserts
If you are talking about what I think, I would think a craft store would have them. ... View related article.

RE: Remove Urine Odors From Mattresses
I can remember from when I was a kid, my little brother wet the bed for awhile and when that would happen my mother would put layers of newspaper over the wet spot and leave it for awhile before making the bed. However, this wasn't a modern mattress, his bed was more like an old army cot, that the ends of it would fold under for moving, and the mattress was probably no more than two inches thick. ... RE: Inexpensive Christmas Gifts for Assisted Living Residents
They might like something like a Russian tea mix, that you made and put in a cute little jar. You should be able to find a recipe for something like that on one of the online recipe sites. ... View related article.

RE: Decorating a Pink Christmas Tree
The ones I have seen in stores are done in either silver or white. I have also seen one done up in black. However, I so far this year the only store that I have been in is WalMart and they don't have stuff like that. I think purple would even work. ... View related article.

RE: Tomato Beef Macaroni
When I prepare a meal like this, in my family we call it goulash. I brown the hamburger, some onion, green or red peppers, celery and drain all the grease out, then I add the pasta (macaroni) and add whatever type of tomato product I'm going to use. I also add a can of diced tomatoes and a can of whole kernel corn. That makes it a complete meal. I also add whatever water is necessary to keep it moist until the pasta is cooked. I figure if Betty Crocker can do it this way with her Hamburger Helper products, I can do it too. ... View related article.

RE: Graduate Keepsake Pillow
No, I didn't make a sample pillow. I started sewing when I was 8-9 years old and have a tendency to rush in where angels fear to tread. At the time I made this pillow I was probably about 60 years old. I am now 69, so my age then is just a guess. ... View related article.

RE: Buying Tiny Disco Ball Mirrors
I think you can find really small mirrors in packages at most craft stores. It has been a long time since I have been in a craft store, but they used to have them. ... View related article.

RE: Surviving Family Thanksgiving
This might sound harsh, but if your mother-in-law is allergic to cats, maybe she shouldn't be smoking either. Also you shouldn't have to put the cats in the basement. She is going to have to learn to adapt to the cats. I know a woman who has two cats, and one of her daughter in laws has asthema and when she visits she goes through more medication than normal, but she grins and bears it. ... View related article.

RE: Cleaning Artificial Plants
I stick them in the shower every now and then. I have also heard that using the low heat on a hair dryer works, but to me giving them an occasional shower and leaving them there while they drip dry, is the easiest and fastest way to do it. ... View related article.
