RE: Wearing PJs In Public
I have 4 kids under the age of 6. I like to be comfortable, but I would never go out of my house in my pj's or in slippers. I'm not so much concerned with what others think. I am more concerned with the example that I am setting for my kids. I want them to take "pride" and have respect for themselves and others and to me that begins with the care a person takes in how they look. I'm not saying you need to dress to the nines, just clean, deceant, and appropriate for where you are going and what you are doing. ... View related article.

RE: Main Dishes That Don't Use Mushrooms
My husband loves mushrooms but has learned to live without them. I am very allergic to them. I have found that cream of broccolli is a good substitute as well.
I also like the idea of I Hate Mushrooms Day!! ... View related article.

RE: Are Exterminators Worth the Expense?
Yes!!! I live in a small town in NewMexico that is infested with cockroaches and other very large bugs. I have my house sprayed once a month and I can now wake up to a bug free house.
My parents live in Southern California and have never had to call an exterminator. I guess it just depends on where you live. ... View related article.

RE: When is right time to have children?
I agree with Maryanne. I am 30 and am pregnant with my 4th child. Each pregnancy seems to be harder and more physically draining. My sister-in-law is 37yrs and has been trying to have a baby. Her first pregancy just reccently ended in a miscarriage. The doctors told her that the older you are the higher the chance on complications, etc...
However I know many women who gave birth to children when they were in their 30's. You just have to look at the facts and decide what is best for you and your husband.
Good Luck!!! ... View related article.

RE: Restoring the Cedar Smell in an Old Cedar Chest
Give the Cedar a light sanding with a fine grit sandpaper and you will bring back that wonderful scent. I have done this several times to different cedar items over the years. ... View related article.

RE: Waxed a No Wax Floor, Now It's Sticky
I recently moved into a a house that has no wax floors. The previous owners however had waxed them. I found that by cleaning them every 3 days with a mixture of amonia and water the stickiness has gone away. Just make sure that the room is ventelated when you are cleaning.
I hope that this helps.

RE: Homemade Duvet Covers
I always buy my sheets to make covers with at the thrift stores. I generally pay about $4 for a set. I then take the elastic out of the fitted sheets and procced like Claudia does.
Yes to your question. Queen sizes sheets for a King duvet, fullsize for a twin, queen size for a full. It worked well for me!! ... View related article.
