RE: Frugal Embellishments for Scrapbooking
You don' t need to be sure it's archival safe. Just spray it with Make it Acid Free by Krylon. Granted, you have to buy the can but then anything is game if you have it. ... View related article.

Water doesn't need to be hot.
The water does NOT need to be hot to mix it. It mixes just fine when the water is at room temperature too.

As for the amounts to use, it varies. For creamy stuff I use 1 part creamer to 1 part water. For regular milk probably 1 part creamer to 2 parts water is about right. I'm sure someone will post a correction if mine are wrong.

I don't much care about the lack of protein, but I definitely wouldn't use it as a beverage. It's only good for cooking.

Also, Kraft macaroni and cheese is much better (in my opinion, as well as my entire family's) with creamer than real milk. ... View related article.

RE: Getting Smoke Smell Off a Mattress
Mine is also cigarette smoke and so far my idea has helped tremendously. Here's what I'm doing:

Strip the bed, sprinkle powdered carpet deodorizer
(example: http://www.amazon.com/Arm-Hammer-Carpet-Deodorizer-Mountain/dp/B0009Q61GM/)
on the mattress and leave it on all day. At the end of the day vacuum it off. Repeat this a few times, also flipping the mattress.

Just be sure to vacuum it well, else you'll be sneezing. ;)

Also, I've saved a bunch of old dryer sheets. I place them side by side, up and down, on top of the box spring between it and the mattress.

These have really made a difference. Good luck and please let us know what finally did work! ... View related article.

RE: Good Products for Urine Smells
There is no particular grand product and I've not tried vinegar, so I can't say it works (it likely does though), but I just wanted to offer this important tip....

DO NOT use a stain remover for your purpose. Anything with ammonia in it will only make the smell worse. When purchasing a product, it's important to be sure it is a pet odor "neutralizer". That's the wording you want. Most pet odor neutralizers do the trick, provided they use that particular word.

Hope this helps! ... View related article.
