RE: Elegant Jello Dessert
Thank you for sharing the great recipe! I plan to try it soon. You are so blessed to have such great memories of a loving relationship with your mother. ... View related article.

RE: Do You Need a Credit Card to Establish Credit?
Here is just a thought-Credit Unions can be great for advice, info., and better-than-bank terms on loans, etc. Many Credit Unions are now easier to get in to than they used to be. If you check around in your area, you may find a Credit Union you could join and then talk to someone there about the best ways to achieve your goals. Some are better than others though-for instance, we are members of the State Employees Credit Union and also Coastal Federal Credit Union, and we use Coastal for all sorts of things. They are by far the better of the two. ... View related article.

RE: Christmas Decoration Organizing Tips
Something I have also found that works is the packing "sheets" that grocery stores use to pack fruit. They are shaped similar to egg crates (with round places for each piece of fruit) but larger. They are great for large ball ornaments. You can stack several "sheets" in a large box. ... View related article.

RE: What Color Wall Paint Would Look Good with Cherry Furniture?
We moved into a house with "teal" colored bedroom carpet, and couldn't afford new carpet right away. We painted the white bedroom walls a "robin's egg" type of blue, which was a paler version of the teal, and with cherry furniture and all white bedding and accessories, I like it so much I no longer want new carpet. ... RE: Alternative For Waterbed Sheets
I agree with Debe-for many years I also had a waterbed and only used flat sheets. You just stuff them way down on the sides and the mattress holds them inside the frame. ... View related article.

RE: Switching a Baby from Nursing to Table Foods
Some babies really do take more time to do anything so just keep trying. Consistency will pay off. He probably does really like the breast milk, but he will realize that it doesn't fill him up enough eventually. My last one nursed for 14 1/2 months but then gave it up easily when the time was right. I don't think you'll have to nurse him until he's three, don't worry! ... View related article.

RE: Cleaning Glass Doors on Fireplace
We used to use ammonia (straight from bottle) on ours and it worked great and is cheap-but stinks! ... View related article.

Cardinal red would be very nice. Fresh, crisp, and only "country" if you want it to be. ... View related article.

RE: Is OxiClean Powder Any Good?
I used to add it to every load of laundry, and didn't find that it was doing much. However, it is great if you soak clothes in it in a tub (the container says to soak like an hour, but I soak overnight, or even 24 hours). Make sure you dilute the granules with HOT water (they just don't dissolve in cold). After soaking, wash clothes as usual. Even if the stain looks like it is still there after the soaking, it will almost always come out in the wash. It even works on stains that have been through the dryer. I have four kids and love the stuff. I've never tried the spray. ... View related article.

RE: Semi-Formal or Casual 17th Birthday?
I think if most of your friends are dating someone, then formal would be great. My oldest son is turning 16 next month and yes, even the guys this age enjoy formal events, if they have a girlfriend. If your friends are not in relationships, they might be more comfortable doing a casual event where they don't feel such a need to be with a "date". Even if you don't go formal, you can have a themed party of some sort. ... View related article.
