RE: Honey Curry Chicken
This is a delicious recipe! I haven't made it in years! You can substitute vegetable oil for the butter if cholesterol is an issue for you. Thanks for reminding me of this one. ... View related article.

RE: Make Your Own Shampoo
There are many good reasons to avoid commercial shampoos and personal care products. Being frugal also means being a good steward- not just of our immediate resources, but our planet's resources too.

You can actually wash your hair with a little baking soda and rinse thoroughly, followed by a few spritzes of apple cider vinegar rubbed in and rinsed out. RE: Ideas for a Candyland Prom
Here is a really cute idea I saw in a book. They made a big garland that looked like over-sized wrapped hard candies strung together. They used clear plastic salad containers (the ones with matching lids) and wrapped them in colored celophane (the kind used to wrap big gift baskets). The celophane was twisted on each end to look like a wrapped candy. Then all the "candies" were wired together.

I think they also made starlight mints using white styrofoam plates, red construction paper "swirls" and clear celophane.

The thing that made these decorations really cute was their over-sized, whimsical quality. Good luck with your prom! ... View related article.

RE: Benefits of Upside Down Garden
My sister-in-law has this system for tomatoes. Last year was her first attempt and she was a little disappointed in the results. We think they may have gotten overheated. Hers are a dark green plastic and we live in HOT Sacramento. I read online that someone used foil around the planters to reflect the sun away and had better results. Good luck! Post again at the end of the growing season -maybe even with photos! ... View related article.

Terrific! Thank you for this. I'm not much of a green thumb and if I ruin this, I won't mind too much! ... View related article.
