RE: What to Do with Pine Cones?
During the fall many schools use them for art projects such as glueing on some paper feathers and making it a turkey, if you have a nursing home nearby ask the activity director if he/she would be interested in taking some of them for craft projects. If you have a craft store near you they may be interested. ... View related article.

RE: Christmas Ornament Question
One year my son's class made those with a picture of them inside, I guess you could put pics of anything you liked in them. These are popular at ornament parties, you can put just about anything in them, craft stores sell miniatures of just about everything so you can make them special for different people, eg teacher theme, medical, sports. ... RE: How Mortgage Prepayments Work
First check with your mortgage company to make sure there is not an early payoff penalty. When you send the extra payment make sure to note on it telling them it is to be applied to the principle, that will lower the amount of interest accruing. Even sending an extra $50 each month will lower the amount of interest you pay over the life of the loan, but you have to specify each time that the extra funds are to applied to the principle amount. Some people send a seperate check from the mortgage payment so the loan company will know there are extra funds to be applied. Most people do not realize that the first part of the life of the loan is mostly interest, if you look at your annual statement from the mortgage company you will see that over half of the payment is interest and only a small amount is applied to the principle amount borrowed. I hope that answers your question, if not feel free to email me directly at aunt_cocky@yahoo.com, before I became disabled I did regulatory compliance for a mortgage company.
