| RE: Crockpot Pumpkin Butter |
|
Hi, Nova Scotia! I just finished making several batches of slow cooker apple butter which turned out great, and this sounds every bit as tasty. I live in Idaho and have never heard of amber agave nectar. Could you tell me where I could find what sounds like a specialty item or do you know of a commonly used substitute that I could add rather than the nectar? Thanks for the recipe and any information you can provide. :o) ... View related article. |

| RE: What Breed is My Dog? |
|
She is a cutie for sure! I would say she definitely has some Staffordshire terrier (pit bull) mixed with the mini-lab and will probably top out at no more than 50 lbs, give or take a little. She should be a wonderful girl with a great disposition with that mix--probably a real people pleaser and charmer! Here's hoping you have a long and happy life together. :o) ... | RE: In Memory Of Diana (Striped Tabby) |
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your best friend. Diana was a beautiful girl! The lives of my family have been tremendously enhanced by the memorable cats who have graced our home over the years, as well as the dogs who have also been a major part of our family and who have always been loving friends with the kitties.
Thankfully, we do have wonderful memories of the love given and received so freely by all of us, whether human, feline or canine. We're truly never the same after they've once become such an integral part of our lives so please accept a hug from someone who understands and empathizes. :) ... View related article. |

Robin, this sounds scrumpdillyicious, but where in the world do you get packaged cherry chips? I live in Idaho and can't find them anywhere - sigh. ... View related article. |

| RE: Freezing Zucchini Bread |
|
Yes, absolutely! This is one of the best ways to use zucchini for the winter months or until the next zucchini season. I do what Mrs. Story's mom does: bake it, cool it, wrap in foil and pop into a large ziplock baggie or if you have one, use your vacuum food-sealer. It's wonderful to thaw out a loaf in the middle of winter for a quick, ready-made treat or as a gift for someone. :) ... View related article. |

| RE: Jojoba Oil for Make Up Remover |
|
Baby oil, olive oil or any vegetable oil will also clean any and all makeup residue, resulting in soft, smooth skin. It's much less expensive than creams or lotions that are specifically made for this purpose and, even better, it's natural. Try it and see for yourself. I'm positive you'll be pleased with the results. ... View related article. |

| RE: Parvo Survival Rate |
So very sorry to hear about Snickers, tough way to get started off in life. We had an akita puppy, Yuri, who got parvo at the vet clinic where we'd gotten her puppy shots on the way home after buying her. She did survive after a struggle but was one sick little baby for awhile. Medical- care costs are negligible compared to the joy & love we receive from our pets who are bonafide members of our families. Best of luck to you & Snickers ~ wishing you many years of happiness together! ... View related article. |

| RE: Baked Fruit Dessert |

This sounds absolutely scrumptious, LJF, and nice enough for company, expected or unexpected. Possibly some chopped walnuts, almonds or pecans sprinkled on top with the fruit would be a tasty addition too. Thanks for a nice, quick & easy dessert that everyone will enjoy. :o) ...
