Profile For Lynn from Calif. - Lynn from Chico, Ca
I am a 59-year-old married, retired lady living in Northern Calif. with a wonderful husband and a spoiled little dog. (Husband's spoiled too actually! LOL) I enjoy reading, working in the yard, thriftshopping, and saving money of course!
I don't know if this would work on a float or not, but a guy in my town had the coolest Christmas decoration in his front yard Dec. 2001 (when 9/11 was of course still fresh in everybody's mind): he had a spotlight on a fake Santa Claus (who was sitting in an US Army jeep) who was saluting the American flag (which he had a spotlight on too). The jeep maybe wouldn't fit on your float, but if not, maybe Santa could be partially dressed in some camo or some kind of military stuff? Or if it was possible to have Santa saluting a military person(s) or vet(s) in their uniforms who were on the float too? Just a thought; good luck! ... View related article.
Try Hulu.com; they're going to start charging soon but I think at this point they're still free. If they have started charging already, try tvguide.com, yahoo.com or (if you're a comcast internet customer) fancast. Good luck! ... View related article.
Well, this explains a lot. I've thought for years that people who never RSVP'd were just being rude/lazy; good grief, I had no idea there are people out there who actually think it means respond only if you plan to attend (or only if you don't plan to attend, whatever...). As Deeli put it, RSVP is French for "Respond, PLEASE!"; meaning respond one way or the other, not just if you plan to attend, not just if you don't plan to attend, not if you're hoping a better invitation comes along, whatever; it means "respond, respond, respond"! They used to teach a little bit of French in schools since it's used in the field of etiquette; guess they're not doing that (or teaching etiquette either, for that matter) in schools anymore. Sigh; we're doomed. ... View related article.
Thanks for the tip; but I too would like the ratio of how much baking soda to how much baby powder, please. And do you just store it in a small plastic shaker, salt shaker, or what? ... View related article.
Try putting the book in a zipper-lock bag with either a new, unused fabric softener sheet or with about a teaspoon of fresh, dry, unused coffee grounds. Leave the book in there for at least 8 hours. Good luck! ... View related article.

It could be a hernia; happened to a friend of mine. This is something that a doctor would have to check and then decide what to do about (operate or whatever). Good luck! ... View related article.
Try putting unused, dry coffee (not instant, has to be regular) in a ring around the plants. Supposedly, the snails hate the caffeine in the coffee and won't cross it. Good luck! ... View related article.
