RE: Set Timer to Limit Computer Time
I need this as well. I find myself getting stuck in boredom ruts where the house work is so unappealing and my spend my time looking at useful and useless things on the internet instead of housework, taking a walk etc.

Thanks, I'm off the computer for the day, I mean it! ... View related article.

RE: Shopping Bag Made for Produce
You can make your own by using tulle. You can find that at Jo-anns or walmart. Or see if there are any premade at online malls such as www.etsy.com or www.hyenacart.com ... View related article.

RE: Use Fabric Made from Bamboo
If you sew and want to make your own try bamboo fabrics from Covered Caboose co-op on yahoo groups. I use Bamboo Jersy for bed sheets, pillow cases, clothing etc and the bamboo velour is devine. The bamboo velour and bamboo fleece are also super absorbent and make great cloth diapers. I make fitted diapers for my kids that go one like a regular one.

And I use her wool blend to make a natural anti-bacterial anti-microbial cover in the form of pants. A little lanolin and they don't need to be washed often, just aired. ... View related article.

RE: Saving Money On Soaps
Buy or reuse a foamer bottle. Make your own refill by taking your regular dish soap, putting about 1/4 to 1/2 inch in the bottom of the bottle, adding warm water and gently shaking. Works great costs practically nothing and can be anti-bacterial and scented if that's the type of dish soap you use.

If you use unscented dish soap and want to scent your hand soap add a few drop of essential oils. These can be purchased at online co-ops for alot less than sote or online stores. Check out yahoo groups for co-ops. One I like is Crunchymamacooperative, among many others. ... View related article.

RE: Cold Water Can Be Too Cold to Get Clothes Clean
Powder isn't generally good for your pipes or septic system as it contains tons of clay. The only exception I've found is Charlie's Soap. You only use 2 TBS per large load and it gets things super clean! It does not contain Clay and is an all natural cleaner. the only problem, is if you have very hard water it may not work as well or cause build-up in cloth diapers. If you have normal or minimally hard water is a great detergent for everything! ... View related article.

RE: Keeping Snow Peas Off the Ground
To keep regular peas (probably would work with snow peas) off the ground in our garden we line the row on both sides with wooden stakes and tie several rows of twine around them, that keeps them off the ground and gives them something to climb. ... View related article.
