RE: Uses for Plastic Bowls from Frozen Meals
Use them when you take your lunch to work or when you are making a snack or eating leftovers and have to microwave them. They also make great veggie trays with their separate compartments they are idea for veggies and dip or dressing. Also for nachos and cheese and chili dip. The sky's the limit.

RE: Uses for Pencil Stubs
Get one of those thick drinking straws that the pencils can fit in and put a few little pencils in them and leave enough room for an eraser to stick out of the top.Wrap a rubber band around the top under the eraser to hold it in place. Then wrap a rubber band around the part that you hold to keep the pencils from sliding out and give your fingers a nice grip too. Now you can keep using the pencils until they run out. Keep the little eraser nubs and put them on the top and use them until they run out also. Peace! ... View related article.

RE: Mismatched Sock Solutions
As for the ones that have holes in them just keep them and put them on over a pair that doesn't have holes in them for extra added insulation during the cold months. Or how about this: buy socks in bulk that all look the same. That way when one goes missing just put the other one aside for when another one goes missing and just pair up the two that are left behind. Works for me. Peace! ... View related article.

RE: Recycling Glass Jars
Use them to store leftover food. Or use them as drinking glasses. Save the lids and use them so that if you knock over the "glass" it doesn't spill out. Peace! ... View related article.

RE: Reusable Cotton Menstrual Pads
Please reconsider using the Insteads and the Dive/Moon Cups. Your period blood is supposed to come out of your body. Using those products could risk toxic shock and possibly death. Peace! ... View related article.

RE: Alternatives to Paper Towels
I have to say that I quit buying paper towels a few months ago and have not had any trouble giving them up. We still have a holder over our sink in the kitchen so I hang the dishtowel that I use to dry the dishes, yes I wash them with my hands I don't understand why anyone would use a dishwasher that wastes more water than it is worth, to dry off our hands when we wash them. If you have to clean up a spill they will work just fine. Just put them in the wash it's just that simple.

Also you can wash your windows with a little dish liquid in a bucket of water and dry them with a dishtowel as well. I used to work in a park as a housekeeper and that is how we washed the windows in the buildings there. Also scrap material from old clothing works fine for cleaning jobs around the house. No need to buy those sponges that just collect germs and sour anyway. Peace! ... View related article.

RE: Link: Make Underwear Out of T-shirts
Actually you don't need to sew anything if you cut the fabric so that you can tie it at the waist like you would a string baking. Just cut it in an hourglass shape with the backside a little larger than the front. make sure that you cut the straps as well. This would cut on using electricity to run the sewing machine. Have fun!
