It was very easy and when I looked on line at the prices websites were charging, I decided to make my own! All my materials cost $50 (about) a little more pricey b/c I used Carter's line of onesies. They're my personal fav! I used one pack of newborn diapers (Pampers), open each diaper up and roll it tight, wrap a thin rubberband around it to hold it, I didn't bother to count how many I used on a tier, I just put it together until I liked the size, then use a very large rubberband the hold the whole tier together. Make the second tier slightly smaller than the first, same with the top tier. I used nice Carter's onesies for the ring around the top tier, ( 6 Carter's onesies cost me $16 as I purchased them on sale at Macy's and I had a coupon) The other onesies were Carter's from Walmart, those were around the second tier, then the bottom tier had Walmart washclothes. The onesies were easy to roll, fold in half and roll tight, hold with rubberband. I found the cute butterfly slippers at Kmart and the base of the case was actually a piece of leftover cardboard I wrapped in pink tissue paper. I stacked the tiers, wrapped each tier with a pretty ribbon making a cute bow at the front and then used the rest of the ribbon to tie the whole thing together so it was stable. The ribbon also hides the rubberbands. The shower was today and I must have gotten 20 compliments! I even have a few people interested in buying them from me!! ... View related article.
What about craft wire? It is coated in plastic so your daughter shouldn't get poked by the edges, and if you use strong tape (duct tape?) and tape the edges, she shouldn't feel the ends. Take the small pieces of craft wire and tape it to the inside of the two pieces of fabric to make them stronger, have your daughter hold the bow while you tie making sure the wire is always on the underside of the bow so it isn't in view. You can get the craft wire at any craft store, it's fairly cheap and you get a lot. ... View related article.
When I taught, I used my bulletin board to put up birthdays. I coordinated the birthdays of the children with someone famous born in that month. The kids always got a kick out of seeing who was born the same month as them. This was a board that I kept up all year. I had another one that I changed frequently. ... View related article.
I have recently purchased the new and improved Swiffer Sweep and Vac and I love it! I got a $3 coupon out of a local newspaper and got the vac for $27! It picks up all the big stuff and the sweeper cloth gets all the little stuff and dust. This thing even picks up cat food and cat hair! I highly recommend this product. ... View related article.
