RE: Beware of Products You Don't Need
I remember a time when there was a big push to getting away from disposable/one-time-use items, but they always seem to come back. I'm glad to see some of the companies "down-sizing" their packaging (like laundry soap) or using more earth friendly packaging. I will buy products from those companies. I do try to stay away from as many disposable/one-time-use items as possible. Too expensive and they add to the landfills! I do always have a can of air freshener in my bathroom, though. ... RE: How Do I Make Earrings?
I also use E6000 for my bead and lapidary projects. Strong stuff, but you need a little patience for it to set up. 5 minute epoxy works great, too, and fast! ... View related article.

RE: Some Stores Banning Plastic Bags
I use my plastic grocery bags for lots of things. At times I've had a surplus of them, so I have used them as packing material when I mailed out packages or moving. And they fit perfect as trash bags in the my small trash cans around the house and when I take the dogs out for walks. I just recently purchased a couple of the reusable bags at Walmart, which I intend on using, but I will still like getting some of the plastic bags. When I used to be a courtesy clerk (bagger) in a grocery store, I preferred using the plastic bags because the holder made it real easy to load the bags up. I can see some clerks not like using the reuseables because of that, unless they stand up on their own ok. ... View related article.

RE: When Should I Plant Tomatoes?
Around here in SE Wisc. I wait until mid to end of May to plant tomatoes. They like it warm! Be sure you're not going to have any more freezes or frosts! We have plenty of pesky squirrels around here but they don't seem to consume enough tomatoes to worry about it. I own Squirrel Guards! I have 3 dogs. All I have to do is say "squirrel" and they all charge out the backdoor on a mission! Lucky for those squirrels they can run up the fence or tree faster then the dogs can get to them! ... RE: Use Milk of Magnesia as a Facial Mask
Wow, that sounds pretty wild! But I guess if Milk of Magnesia absorbs all the yucky stuff in your tummy, it'll take care of oily skin. I may have to give it a try! ... View related article.

RE: Will Wheat Germ Help You Lose Weight?
I doubt wheat germ alone caused him to lose weight, but by eating whole grains, it fills you up and stays in your tummy longer, making you feel fuller, longer, keeping the hunger pains away. There are so many other health benefits from eating whole grains, too. ... View related article.
