RE: Looking For Biz Color Safe Bleach Powder
Both Biz and Oxy-clean are oxygen bleaches and work the same way. I use them interchangably. ... View related article.

RE: Problems Opening Thriftyfun Website
It sounds as though you have a cookie blocking the website. If you use a Windows operating system go to TOOLS>INTERNET OPTIONS>DELETE and delet all your cookies.

You may also want to go to TOOLS>INTERNET OPTIONS>PRIVACY TAB>SITES> and REMOVE ALL. Between those two processes you should get rid of the problem. Then CLOSE all of your browser windows and open a new one. ... View related article.

RE: Crayon on a Chalkboard
Jubilee is a kitchen wax product - sort of a cream that is white colored. It will remove crayon from walls, etc. quite well. My mother had to do this after one of my sisters colored a wall in our new house as a child. I think it is still made. If you can't find it you might look for another waxing cleaner as that is what crayons are mostly made of anyway. ... View related article.

RE: Brown Dots on My Car
I know you like to park under a tree, but tree sap drips can lift and remove the paint from your car leaving permanent damage to the finish. If you can't get them off, you might consider parking somewhere else as it will hurt your resale value if you ever decide to sell. ... View related article.

RE: Caramel Popcorn on Carpet
Caramel is mostly sugar which will disolve in water. Wet, but don't saturate the carpet, let sit and then gently rub to the center of the spot with a white washrag. You may have to repeat a couple of times but it should all come out. ... View related article.

RE: Reviews of Tide Free Laundry Soap
We use PUREX free and clear. It is very efficient in the washing machine (we buy the concentrated bottle and use about 3 T. per load in a HE washer) and cleans very well. Both my husband and I have fragrance and sensitivity issues and we have no problems with Purex. I've been using it for several years. ... View related article.

RE: Ginger for Motion Sickness
Do you chew the small piece of fresh ginger? or just swallow it like a pill? I have taken ginger pills with good results but fresh ginger would be a good alternative. ... View related article.

RE: Sheets Smell After Washing
Try using borax in the water according to the box directions. It is inexpensive and very good at removing grease and odors. Also, check to be sure that your washing machine is draining properly, it may be retaining some water beneath the tub that is dirty? ... View related article.

RE: Washer Not Getting Dust Out of Clothes
A lot of powdery dust/dirt will "cake" in warm/hot water and gum on to clothing rather than wash out. Try rinsing the dusty clothes in cold water first in the machine, then washing them the way you normally would. ... View related article.

RE: Keeping Well Water from Staining Clothing
When we lived in Georgia (think iron-rich red clay!) the one way they were able to keep the kids softball uniforms white was to wash them in CASCADE powder-style dishwasher detergent in warm to hot water. It was able to remove the iron and clean the uniforms quite well - even on synthetics. Cascade may not be good for colors though so test carefully.

My in-laws had the same problem and finally bought a water-softener. More expensive in the short term, but thought that it made up for it in less damaged clothing and fixtures.
