RE: Getting Rid of Mice Naturally
I have used peppermint oil, sprayed around areas they may enter, they deter the smell. Another method is to block the access they have to the home. Stuff steel wool in these cracks, they will not chew through them, they hate it, and will not chew through it. Another thing is they hate dryer sheets, don't like the smell. You could also inset them where mice be be getting in. Hope it helps. ... View related article.

RE: Spider Plant Leaf Tips Turn Brown
Rule of thumb is brown tips, not enough water, yellow leaves too much water or not enough light. I have learned the best way to water is in my kitchen sink. I fill it almost full with tepid water than add some liquid plant food, insert the plants as many as I can fit as possible and let set for an hour. Then I drain them in my dish drainer and return them to their proper spot. I also read that with spider plants you must feed them every time you water. When you just water from the top till it comes out the bottom it is not truely getting all the dirt moist, where as soaking them for an hour they really drink up the water. Always cut away dead or yellow leaves to keep it healthy. I have gotten many new spider plants from the shoots that I root in water and then plant. Good luck and I hope this helps. ... RE: Growing Rainier Cherries from Seed
I don't know about cherry pits, but I have some cherry pits also and I am going to do what I did with lemon, grapefruit and orange seeds. I set them in a washcloth (nice thick one) folded over the seeds and saturate the washcloth with water daily, or more often if the house is dry. Keep constantly moist and they should sprout in a couple of weeks. Then plant them in potting soil and keep evenly moist. I have numberous lemon, grapefruit and orange trees. If this doesn't work at least I know I tried. If you come up with a better way please let me know. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: How Often Do Finches Lay Eggs?
I used to have finches too. Females lay eggs, but they are not furtile eggs. I would think you have two females. I had three females and they would lay unfurtile eggs. But then one died so I got another one from the local pet store. Needless to say it was a male and boy did they have at it! Anyway I took him back but one of the females laid fertile eggs and they did not take very long to hatch so I had like four babies. They take care of them totally. You really don't need to do anything if they do have babies. But I do hope you feed them more than seeds. Mine loved fruits and veggies. Especially cucumbers. Just cut a slice and put it between the bars and they will love it. Lettuce is good too, but mine loved cucumbers. ... View related article.
