| RE: Bugs Biting Me In My Sleep |
|
It sounds like fleas. I don't think bed bugs bite tho I did see on a recent program there is an "epidemic" of bed bugs right now in certain areas. Said you have to bag everything up and clothes/linens etc. need to be put in a very hot dryer etc., may need to look it up to see what all needs to be done if it is bed bugs. S/l fleas though if they jump. If it is fleas get some Frontline and lightly spray it on the mattress and wash linens in hot water. Need to treat your animals (if any) or the problem will just continue to grow. ... View related article. |

I will gently bundle the excess up and tie it with a trash bag tie. I do this under my computer too to help manage all the cords as they drive me crazy if I dont. ... View related article. |

| RE: When Do You Stop Giving Christmas Gifts to Adult Nieces and Nephews? |
|
With my nephews I stopped when they got in late teens probably and they understood. I don't expect a gift from them either, that is for their immediate family I feel. I give to my parents, my brother, and sister, but not to any of the grown nephews/nieces. I do, however, spend a day making candy or some kind of edible treats and I give them all a baggie of treats just as something little to say I love them. Its not much, but they seem to be satisfied and I feel it is sufficient. Hope this helps. ... View related article. |

| RE: A Storybook Christmas" Float Ideas |
|
This is not much, but with it being "storybook" you could have different characters such as scrooge, Rudolph, the nutcracker, etc. you could make poster-sized "storybooks" (big enough to be seen by the crowd) of their own stories for them to be "reading" or they could be reading each others stories. Not the most exciting idea, but an idea nonetheless. Hope it helps ... View related article. |

| RE: Crayon Stains on Clothing |
My 4 year old does this all the time. I don't know how it will work with it being white, but I have done this each time and always takes it out.
Wash the item in hot water adding your liq. clothes detergent, white vinegar (maybe 1/2 cup), and some liq. dish detergent (maybe 3-4 Tbsp. full) as the water begins to fill the machine. Don't wait until it is already full. Don't turn the cycle on right away, let the clothes sit for 5-10 minutes soaking then let it run through the cycle. Should come right on out. Hope this helps. ... | RE: Getting Children To Brush Their Teeth |
|
Something I did was find some really nasty, graphic pictures of decayed and rotting teeth on the net to show them to help them visually understand this is what can happen to your teeth if you do not brush properly. Also, maybe if you get one of the battery operated toothbrushes that might help. Kids love those and they do a more thorough job even of the child does not. HTH! ... View related article. |

My vet has given it to me to use on my cats before, so I would think it is probably safe for the dogs since it is a topical and not something they are ingesting. ... View related article. |

| RE: Treating a Baby's Dry Skin |
|
If you bathe baby too frequently it will dry their skin out. Newborns dont have to be bathed as often, but when you do bathe baby, right after the bath is the best time to apply lotion. I would maybe go with Johnson and Johnsons CREAMY baby oil. I used this for my son's eczema when he was an infant. HTH. ... View related article. |

| RE: Transitioning a Cat Back to Solid Foods |
I agree that you should probably consult your vet if you have not already, but I will tell you that our 3 y/o cat recently developed a very serious illness and we thought she was going to die. The vet was not certain what it was even. She stopped eating or drinking and was unable to walk or do anything, but sleep all day. She is much better now, but not completely back to normal. During this time when she finally became more alert I just gave her a teaspoon maybe of tuna chopped up very fine to start off just trying to get her to eat anything. She tolerated that well. Then she, on her own, started eating her regular hard cat food.
So, maybe consider the tuna, just a little, and then later could move to maybe her regular hard food, softening it with warm water until she is able to transition to her regular food. My vet never really gave me any advise on the feeding, but I would still check with yours. Just beware of canned food though. It often can make their stomachs upset. Hope your kitty recovers soon. ... View related article. |
