RE: Cheap Kiln
Ebay has some kilns listed under $100 used, these are the smaller ones that would do one or two pieces. Depending on where you live, you might want to look into a local place that you could fire peices for a set price per square inch or a full studio where you can create and fire.

I have a membership in the Atlanta area that is one price to make, glaze and fire pottery. When I lived in Augusta, GA, there was a local slip casting studio that would take regular clay and fire it for set prices.

Given that a large kiln takes about $36 per firing of electrical use, you might want to look into other options. ... View related article.

RE: Dog Bathing Tips For You And Your Dog
Depending on where you live, there may be self dog washing stations around you. For $8, I was my dog, and they provide several types of shampoo, conditioners, ear cleaner, towels, cotten balls, nail clippers, quick stop, brushes and combs. I live in a small apartment, so I cannot wash my dog outside and the one time I tried to wash her in the tub she scratched the sides. Now I no longer have to scrub the tub everytime I was the dog and the tub at the dog wash is my height, so no back pain. ... View related article.

RE: Carpet Cleaner for a Car
I had on old van with several cola stains. Orange eliminator foam - used for cleaning grills and other hard stains works wonders. I used it and a bucket of water and a scrub brush. I have used this on throw rugs that the dogs have had accidents on with great results too. If you do not have access to it, resolve foam or even generic foam carpet cleaner works well too. My dog gets an upset stomach often and it stains our carpet yellow. When I don't have time to use my small carpet cleaner, I spray down the foam, and place a hot wet towel over the spot, when I remove the towel the stain is gone. Hope this helps. ... RE: Baby Shower at Work
I was a teacher and we had two showers at our work.

We had a cake and games setup like: diapering a doll blind folded. Also, everyone gave a bag of diapers including the students, but in your case just co workers would work. It was inexpensive and fun and each new mom didn't need to buy diapers for a year. ... View related article.

RE: Uses for Old Silverware
I have seen several things using old silverware. Jewely comes to mind, but also they are great for craft projects. I use a fork and spoon for building pottery vases. The fork for scoring between joints, and the spoon for smoothing out rough spots. ... View related article.

RE: Air Dry Dishes in Your Dishwasher
This may sound silly but I never have enough dishes to do a full load every night. So I hand wash my dishes and leave them in the dishwasher to air dry. If I have company over I don't have dishes on the counter drying and I have more counter space in my small apartment. ... View related article.
