RE: Emergency Wrap for Small Gifts
I'm somewhat obsessive when it comes to wrapping presents. I complain to my family for using cheap wrapping paper and wrap their presents under protest... the paper cops all responded. They jokingly told me I was a wrapping paper snob. I am because the wrapping of the gift is PART OF the gift. It's just like the chef presenting fine cuisine before his patron. What you suggested about printing out your own wrapping paper... brilliant. I never thought of that. Excellent idea! ... View related article.

RE: Burn Mark On The Inside of a Car Door
Hi Justin, a response from your Charlotte neighbor. That stain is now a chemically altered, permanent discoloration in the material. The heat generated from the cigarette coming in contact with the plastic has permanently discolored it and would require the identical or near identical color of paint, ink, or whatever you would choose to use to 'cover it up'. ... RE: "Starry Night" Themed Dance
My first thought was maybe you could incorporate Vincent Van Gogh somehow. He created "Starry Night" as you probably well know. That could be rather cool if executed well. Just a thought. ... View related article.

RE: Textra Stains on Clothing
I'm an artist as well, and it has been my experience that ink used in art supplies and other products are not going to come out if the ink container (pen or whatever) indicates 'permanent'. ... View related article.

RE: Wine Stain on Pine Furniture
This may not help, but my gut feeling is that this calls for a sand and re-stain (if it's stained). Of course my gut feeling has been known to be wrong :) ... View related article.

RE: Cleaning Steel on a Yacht
Try Bon-Ami (the scouring powder). It's non-abrasive, but cleans really well. I know it cleans stainless steel b/c I've seen him use it. Use it on a small portion first to see if it gives the desired results first. ... View related article.

RE: Is 12 Old Enough to Go Places Alone?
I didn't see the feedback by azDana before I started to respond, but I COMPLETELY agree!! They're still children at 12. Even though the public is more dangerous than the private, how comfortable would you feel about leaving her alone in the house should you ever decide to go for a long night out? If you're cautious about that, think about her in the public alone. Does that bring about a sense of peace and well-being when you think about it? ... View related article.

RE: Freezing Egg Salad Finger Sandwiches
This is just my own take, but any kind of food will freeze. I probably would eat it relatively soon (don't store it for weeks and weeks.) I guess the real kicker is would you like the taste of it? Who knows what the freezing would do to the taste. The water particles in the food will freeze and I have no idea how that would alter the taste once it's thawed. I've never really thought of or heard of anyone freezing either. If they have then I just don't know about it. ... View related article.

RE: Homemade Flavored Olive Oil
Hi. I've thought that before as well. The olive oil was probably fresh because sounds like she made these for at least a couple of people as gifts. That would make sense to me at least. Since it is probably freshly opened, you can use it as you normally would use olive oil. Keep it under cap when you're not using it. That's how i would approach it. ... View related article.
