I "Think" the diet change and the codliver oil thing will likely do the job. A food brand change too may help. I have used successfuly, (as a help while trying other things)"Hydrocortisone 1 percent strength" ointment and also "Benadryl" itch stopping gel".Can get from local drug store over the counter. Suggest also that you could talk with your druggist about itch releiving, over the counter medications for people such as those mentioned? The color is determined by the "Ph" of the soil. your extension agent will test for you free. In my case(and with-out test) I had pale blue and added diluted lemmon juice got deep blue as result.Good luck.
Your exterminator is good company. Give them a week or two. I have used them in past and they got all except "black sugar ants". They just can't seem to get rid of em. if you hv any method plse let me know?
