| RE: Finding a Reasonably Priced Wedding Venue and Caterer |
Try local Golf or Country Clubs. Here is one I found in your area on google maps: http://www.mountainbranch.com/homepage/start_page.php
Mountain Branch * 1827 Mountain Road * Joppa, MD 21085 * (877) 588-1492 Plan a party! Whether you're having a wedding, milestone, reunion, holiday or corporate party, or special occasion, Mountain Branch is ready to book your event today.
Try the VFW or Nights of Columbus halls. You can usually get in the night before to decorate and you can choose your own caterer for this type of party.
You can also see if someone close to you (like a Grandma or an Aunt) ives in a gated community with a clubhouse, they can usually rent the facility for a party for very little money and these facilities have a kitchen area for heating food and prep. again you supply the caterer.
Call the local churches and see if they have a banquet room you can rent for the evening in question? If I think of anything else I will let you know.
I did my wedding in Long Island, NY 17 years ago for a total of $8,000 including a 10 day trip to Florida for our Honeymoon. I actually had a wedding that should have cost about $20,000 but I bargained everyone down. I got the cake for free, I got the hall for 1/3 the price I got 2 stretch limos for $100 for 5 hours.
I was also willing to be married in January and everyone wanted business then. So be flexible in your schedule. Winter weddings (not around Valentines day) can be very cost effective. Good luck and congratulations to you and your honey! ... View related article. |

| RE: Recommendations for Mattresses |
We got an SAT bed about 3 years ago. We both love it. They are expensive, but they are great. Better than temperpedic and serta and number beds. You get a 90 day in home trial. I am going to miss my bed when I have to go take care of my sister for several months after her transplant. But it will be waiting for me at home! LOL.
Good Luck on the bed. http://www.satbed.com/index.php ... View related article. |

| RE: Rainy Day Gift |
What a cute idea. You could also do it with homemade coupons for the money challenged ;) Or it would be cute as a Bridal shower gift and you could collect favorite recipes ahead of time from the guests and and attach them the same way. For a baby shower you could do tips from the guests about being a new Mom and things that come up with babies. I love it. ... View related article. |

| RE: Peeling Fingernails |
I have always had strong hard nails, well lately they are just snapping and peeling and breaking off in chunks or layers. I have been dx with osteoporosis and several other arthitis issues. The specialist told me about a product called appearex for nails (has biotin) she told me to take 2x the dosage as my hair is also thining and falling out. In the meantime she has requested from my primary for my thyroid to be checked. He doesn't want to do it as my thryoid screen comes back in acceptable levels. I argued, that my mother and 4 sisters all have thryroid issues. that this should be reason enough. He finally agreed, I pick up the script tomorrow for the testing. But, I digress . . :)
In the meantime I am taking a product called 'Mega Vitamins for Hair" by Puritans Pride. It is too soon to notice as it is only been about 2.5 weeks.
I would see my doctor about it and see if it is a vitamin defciency. ... View related article. |

| RE: Does My Dog Sleep Too Much? |
I don't want to be an alarmist but, I looked this information up a few months back as it was happening to my dog.
http://www.ehow.com/facts_5505632_s ... fects-advantage-flea-medication.html
I chose to put a collar on the dog called preventic from the vet. Within 24 hours the dog was beyond lethargic, he was difficult to rouse and his eyes were red he was miserable. So I looked up adverse reactions to flea and tick meds. I was not happy to find I was killing my dog. I ripped that thing off him so fast and brought him outside for fresh air. It took weeks for him to be right again. There have been stories on 20/20 on this subject.
Wash that stuff off your dog right away, bring it to the attention of the vet. I hope the little guy will be okay.
