RE: Remote Garage Door Opener Not Working
Open up your hand held remote and you will see numbers from zero through 9. Now get up on a ladder and open up your overhead mechanism and you will see another gizmo with numbers from zero through 9. both the remote and the overhead gizmo must be programmed with the same exact numbers. After you have changed both to read the same your garage door opener should work fine. ... View related article.

RE: Reusing Milk Sleeves
My daughter lives in Ottowa, Canada also and she had a real problem when she first moved there with the "milk sleeves". We had never seen nor heard of them. The milk in the USA comes in plastic bottles. Canada's plastic bags are messy and get dried milk on the edges and are not very attractive. Also, your butter does not come in quarters, just one big pound and you have to cut it up yourself. But your Ottowa is beautiful and I just visited there the first week in September for the balloon fest, some sight seeing and good food. ... View related article.

RE: Reuse Silverware Basket for Tools
You can also use the same item in your bathroom to store small bottles of shampoo, cream rinse, hand lotions, shave cream etc under the counter so it is out of the way. ... View related article.

RE: Advice for Vacationing in Chicago
If you are staying downtown, make sure you go to Field Museum, also Chicago's Art Museum is amazing. Have lunch at Navy Pier and a drive along Lakeshore Drive is free if you have access to a car. Another freebie is take a walk down State Street (that great street). You will find all kinds of things to do in Chicago, there is so much to see and so many good restaurants. I hope you have a really great time! ... View related article.

RE: Filling In Acrylic Nails Inexpensively
The fill-ins are only about $15.00 to have the same nail girl do them for you. When you originally had the nails put on, that is the expensive part. The upkeep, like I said, is only about $15.00 every other week. ... View related article.

RE: Removing Dried Paint from Leather Sofa
Take a Q-tip and dip it in nail polish remover. Shake off the excess polish remover and slowly rub the Q-tip over the paint drops that are on your leather. Have a clean damp cloth handy at the same time and after swabbing the Q-tip/nail polish remover, wipe the area off. Do NOT soak the area with nail polish remover, but instead work slowly and carefully. I did this on the leather interior of my car and it worked just fine. ... View related article.

Little Suzy.....your flower is amazingly beautiful. I was surprised to see Millbury Ohio. I was raised there and went to Lake High School. My sister still lives in Walbridge and my ex husband lives in Millbury. What a small world!! Keep on gardening, it looks like you are doing a good job. ... View related article.

RE: Replacing a Mailbox Post
A few of my neighbor kids were bored one day and decided to knock my mailbox down. I had the same problem as you so what I did was buy a new mailbox and installed it one foot over from where the old one was. Then I just left the cement from the old one in the ground, put some fill dirt over it and planted grass on top of that. I'm not going to take the time to try and dig out a bunch of cement that cannot be re-used any way. ... View related article.

RE: Repairing Cat Scratches on Wicker Furniture
At Walmart in the fabric department they have little 2 ounce bottles of artist paint of every color you can imagine for 99 cents each. You can put this on with a small brush and blend it into your wicker with your finger. This makes great touch up paint for a variety of items in your home. I do not advise using spray paint in the house as there is always the chance of "overspray" getting on other items with the spray paint. This paint has been a life saver many times over in my home. ... View related article.
