RE: How can I get rid of lady bugs in my house?
You can learn all about these orange, stinky bugs called "Lady Beetles" on AG-PHD, episode #605, originally aired on 11/08/09. I just viewed it online. The Lady Beetles segment is a few minutes into the show. They also recommend an insecticide called Tempo. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Kids Car Games
I think I would use the picture frame but tape up the back with duct tape to make it smooth on the lap and prevent flying, broken glass if, God forbid, there was a crash. Sounds like cheap, multi-purpose entertainment.
Beware....dry erase markers are permanent! I bought washable, vivid dry erase markers at Walmart. ... View related article.

RE: Permanent Marker on a Wood Table
I have had great luck w/ Amodex. It works on permanent markers (and more) on tons of surfaces.
The key is not to wet the stain. Water sets the stain and Amodex doesn't work nearly as well.
I bought my Amodex from a ebay seller. The last time I checked it was not yet for sale at Office Max. The website says you can buy it at Hobby Lobby and other locations. Their website is very helpful IMO.

P.S. I've used Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on very small spots and I can't see any damage to the wood finish. ... View related article.

RE: Alternatives to Paper Towels
I try to use a sponge whenever I can. Then I throw it in the dishwasher each day when I wash the dishes. Microwaving for 2 minutes doesn't seem to tackle a stinky sponge though. And newspaper DOES work wonderfully on windows. Good luck! It's hard to give up disposable paper towels. ... View related article.
