RE: Fixing or Replacing the Elastic on Fitted Bed Sheets
Couldn't you use old bra straps that you might not have discarded. Cut the straps off of them & sews to corners of the bed sheets so it would hold on better on the bed. You can even sew them on with a ajustment still on them to level the size of the corners of the bed. Pam G. ... View related article.

RE: Pre-Treating Greasy Stains
You can also use a bar of soap to get stains out with a scrub brush. It gets it out really well. Also, when you're on the go, carry baby wipes to get stains off your clothes too. ... View related article.

RE: Teaching My Grandson About Money
Sally, you made me think of a money saving idea that I do. I squeeze the soap bars together to make a big old bar when they the bars I use are small enough to break apart to squeeze together. It save money also. I also saw a idea on melting soap into new bars which got me to thinging if I save enought bars that are squeeze into round big balls. I can melt them into big squares for extra savings also.

RE: Teaching My Grandson About Money
I would tell him its a game that we all play. The rules are simple. Every time you get three bill whether it $3 one each month or whatever his allowance is. You have to keep one bill to yourself and not spend that bill at all. He would be surprise at himself when he see that builds up in the future. It best that he makes sure that he keep a daily check pad to make sure he is doing just that also. Pam G. Alabama ... View related article.

RE: Ask for Makeup Samples
Bonnie, cool tip. May I add that you can save on lipstick by using a lip liner brush to brush out the last bit of lipstick out of the lip stick tube. That will save money too. And always use one color eyeshadow to match eye color or hair color. Not the clothing. It will help save money too. And you wouldn't have to use different shades for anything else. Anyway, your tip is so cool I hope it wins.

RE: Uses for Unmatched Socks
Well, I would use a unmatched sock for a duster. Put the end on a mop or rounded broom and you can dust the roof or ceiling fans. Also could make great dishclothes or soap holders for soap when you need it. Just buy some elastic or crochet a hanged for the sock so you can hang around you while you shower. Another idea is to use to hold your crochet needles or double pointed needles. or cut the top out and make a change purse out of the foot part of the sock. Also you could just wear the unmatched sock as feet warmers at night. Or dyed the sock to make them match. That all my ideas.

RE: Help With Panel Knitting
Jonielle,
You can start by making a loop not slide the loop (lp) on the first peg. No need to tie off afterwards and start going around the pegs and then go around all the pegs again for second lp and start from there. That all there is to it. After that you can use a long crochet needle to take the last of the lps off of whatever single knitting project you're doing and cast off as usual. You can take a craft sewing needle that probably came with you board and sew those ends in the finish project to hide that leave it out as a start of a finge.
I hope I helped.

RE: Homemade Presents For Dog Lover
If you are a knitter or crocheter you could make a little blanket for the dog or a toy of some type.
