RE: Ziplock Vs. Reynolds Vacuum Sealers
I also use Reynolds and I Love it! It is now just the 2 of us and when making spaghetti, you can save extra sauce you don't use. Leftovers, make aheads for holidays plus so much more. Its great for other things besides food but that is my main use because of the prices right now. You can't go wrong but you do have to position just right but easy to get the hang of it quickly.

RE: Looking For Black Salve
There are many different types and names of "black salve." I have used "prid" as person below but my grandmother and mother (and myself) use black salve from Watkins. It comes in an orange tin and they also have menthol which comes in a green tin. I myself perfer the Watkins salve. There are many dealers for Watkins and they have a website also. You might also find some selling at craft fairs and flea markets.

RE: Survey Advice
I have been a member of NFO survey for over 4 yrs.You do not purchase anything. You answer questions pertaining to your opinion on medicine, cellphone companies, the earth, etc. Occasionally the company you are doing survey for will send a product for you to try with the understanding that you will answer survey about item used at a future date. NO cost to you. I have received merchandise such as a crockpot, phone cards, gift cards and actual cash. I have accumulated enough points usually by Christmas to get $100.00 cash in my hands to use toward Christmas.
"My Points" is another good one I like as all you have to do is "read" a newsletter from a company and you get so many points to use toward misc. items or gift cards. On My Points, once you get to the newsletter, IF you see something you would like to order, then you receive more points, but you DO NOT have to order. Its up to you, but it sure has helped out at my home. Thanks and good luck on whatever you decide. Jan ... View related article.

RE: Quick, Cheap and Easy Goulash
My husband came up with this back in the early 70's when we were stationed in Oklahoma and money was very tight.Brown 1 LB. hamburger ( or turkey burger nowdays), chopped onion, 1 can dark red kidney beans( NOT drained). Cube and boil any amount of potatos you wish. After all ingredients done, drain potatos leaving alittle of the water in. Add meat, onion and beans and simmer for about 15 minutes. Enjoy! To stretch, you can add in a can of light kidney bean and/or a can of whole kernal corn. Add some cornbread and you have a cheap and tummy warmin' meal. ... View related article.

RE: Is Hip Dysplasia Common In Shi Tzu/Maltese?
Hi, I have a shih tzu and was wondering about this also as he seems to walk funny from the rear view. So after reading your post, I googled hip dysplasia shih tzu and went to a site that said yes its hereditary and can be treated by vet. Also, retinal atrophy is genetically linked and can lead to blindness. These little dogs have a tendency to suffer eye injuries so we must be careful with them. Also, thyroid disease can be found in some.
Hope that helps. memaw-Jan ... View related article.

Just this year I started using the containers from creamers and lemonade for instant potatoes, dog treats, choc. drink mix, spaghetti noodles ( broke in half) pencils, crayons, clips, etc. They come in very handy in our travel trailer. Does not useup much space and keeps ants and other bugs out. ... View related article.
