| RE: Frying Breaded Foods |

I have the best success at making any coating stick, if I coat the meat first with flour, then egg, then the coating, whatever it is. It also helps to let the breaded meat sit for a bit and dry out some before frying. ... View related article. |

| RE: Fried Cabbage and Noodles |
This is a favorite recipe in our house. And whenever there is a need to bring a dish, I'm usually asked to make this. I always stick with egg noodles, rather than a shaped pasta, and the finishing touch on my cabbage and noodles? Paprika. Lots of it! I think that's the reason that mine always come out better than everyone else's. And I never put onions in mine - I didn't learn that way.
I think I might have to whip up a batch as soon as the heatwave breaks! ... View related article. |

| RE: Repairing Inflatable Castle Bouncer |
|
I don't know what you could do to fix it yourself, but if you could find someone who repairs tents...I'm thinking that if you have a rental business nearby, they might use someone to repair the tents they set up for outdoor events, and such. I'm sure they have had wind damage or split seams to their rental tents, and would repair rather than incur the cost of a new item. Good luck. ... View related article. |

I've made this recipe and it is fantastic! The long slow cooking time is what does it. I had never made a whole raosted chicken before, and this came out perfect. If you've never done one, this is the recipe. ... View related article. |

We just went through a program with Money Managment International/Consumer Credit Counseling and found them to be very supportive and above all reputable. I would check them out on the web, www.moneymanagement.org, to see if they have an office nearby. Its not fun in the beginning, but it does work. Good luck! ... View related article. |

| RE: Homemade Christmas Crafts |
|
This gift wasn't homemade, but it certainly could have been, and its the coolest thing - a crocheted or knitted scarf, with a pocket on each end. You wrap it once around your neck, starting at the front and let the ends hang down - the pockets are great for holding your cell phone or your sunglasses, or even some cash and your lipstick! Great for your kids outdoor sporting events and you don't have to carry a purse! The pocket itself is the width of the scarf, and about 6 inches deep. ... View related article. |

| RE: Making a Fake Wedding Cake |
|
If you go to a craft store that carries Wilton products, they sometimes also carry styrofoam "cakes" in all shapes and sizes. The styrofoam is more like the kind they used to make coolers with - not so porous. I found this out the hard way, when I was asked to make a display wedding cake, and bought styrofoam circles from Michael's and had to glue numerous ones together to make a full layer. In all, I used about 12 pieces, in 3 sizes, when I could have bought 3 pieces in the heights I needed. Live and learn! I did mine in Royal Icing, which hardened almost immediately, so work quick, but to this day, the hotel is still using that cake! they keep it refrigerated to be safe, but it has stood up beautifully. Good luck! ... View related article. |

| RE: Reusing Baby Mobiles As Christmas Ornaments |
Oh my goodness! I did the same thing with my two boys, who are now 10 and 12. In addition, I took their wooden blocks and inserted a screw with a circular opening, and pulled ribbon through, and hung them too. Since they get a new ornament each year for Christmas, I no longer use the blocks, but the mobile characters still hang proudly! Merry Christmas! ... View related article. |
