RE: Reusing Dryer Sheets
Hi. I have another way to save on dryer sheets. When I get my new box I have a jar sitting on the dryer. I put 2 sheets in it and fill with water. Every time I use a sheet I put it in the jar. Then when the box is empty I have a jar full of very well scented dryer sheets. Just pull them out and wring some of the water out and just like a fresh one. They work just as good and a brand new one. Have been doing this for years seeing I raised 3 boys and washed football uniforms for the youth club. You need to save when you have 150 uniforms to wash. Hope this is helpful to the penny wise people.

RE: Places of Interest Near Lake Michigan
Hi Bonnielou,
I live in Rothbury, Mi and we are half way up the west coast of Michigan. You can travel the lake shore and see all kinds of neat things. The town to the south of us has the World's Largest working weather vane. There are all small towns up the coast and there are 2 cross lake ferries that cross over to Wisconsin. There is one in Muskegon which is a 2 hour ride and the other is in Ludington, and it is a 4 hour trip.

In Silver Lake there are really great sand dunes you can go for a dune ride. Just North of Muskegon is the Michigan Adventure amusement park and water park. Just grab a map and you can find all kinds of things in Michigan. The beautiful sunsets over the lake are a really nice thing to see. Hope you have a great trip and you will probably come back. We have a little of everything. Barb from Michigan ... View related article.

RE: Cooking Venison Without the Gamey Taste
Hi Barb, I cook venison all the time and when I fry the steaks I usually fry some onions and green peppers in the pan first then add the steaks...really good that way. I live in Michigan too. A lot of venison eaters here. Use the onions and green peppers with a roast too. Good luck, Barb from Michigan ... View related article.

RE: My Mother is Nagging Me About My Weight
Hi. The first thing you have to do is think of YOURSELF. My mother was the same way all my life. I am 61 and still overweight as far as my mother thinks. We are not all alike. There are small people and big people. You have to be happy with who you are. That is hard and has taken me many years to feel that way but the way I feel now is I am me. I have to live MY life. You just smile at your mother and say ok. Then smile at yourself and feel good about YOU. Good luck and SMILE. I am a mother and a grandmother and my mother doesn't get under my skin anymore. RE: Homemade Heat Packs for Children
Hi Kayc,
I make and sell the rice bags and I make them out of fleece, then microwave them 2-3 minutes. You get a nice moist heat with the fleece and you can find all kinds of patterns. You can also put them in the freezer for the little boo boos the little ones have. Make them any size you want. I make most of mine for adults and they are 12 inches by 12 inches. Good luck from another Michigander, Barb ... View related article.

RE: How to Control Deer in Your Garden
Hi Sherrie,
We live back in the woods and have all kinds of deer so we have tried all kinds of things. Finally we put 6 metal stakes around the garden and ran 2 strands of 20 lb fish line around it. One at about 3 feet and one at 1 foot. They will walk up to it and can't see it and when they hit it they take off. We have been doing this for about 5 years and works like a charm. We did leave an opening to go in but have stopped that because they got smart and went in the 2 foot opening. They are really smart. Hope this helps. dameemag from Rothbury, Mi ... RE: Uses for Pizza Boxes
Hi Christy,
I have some boxes too and I have 3 grown sons so I am going to make pizza placemats and coasters and give them to the boys and familys as one of their Christmas gifts...I don't have a pattern yet but will either make them out of material or crocheted.. I might even put some pizza coupons in the boxes with the placemats.....Have fun.....dameemag from Michigan ... View related article.
