RE: Storing Paint Cans
From tips, I have read and recently started using.
1. cereal wax paper cut in shape of the can lid or just a little bigger, place over the top of the paint to prevent film build up and dust and dried paint from falling when you open the paint after having stored it for awhile.
2. wipe clean the lid and the tracks where the lids fits.

3. place a sheet of saran wrap over can and place the lid on it this helps with sealing it and preventing paint that may dry on the lid from falling into the paint when opening.
4. taking a rubber mallet or a piece of block of wood over the lid and hammer lightly taping on the edges of the lid to seal the can. Do not use a hammer directly on the lid as it will dent the lid and damage the sealing of it.
Next...

5. Wrap the cans in shrink wrap tightly. You can group the cans of the same paint for that same room in shrink wrap as well to make it easier to find all the like paints when its time to reuse them. Shrink wrap is stronger than saran but saran is better than nothing. If using saran run some clear tape over it to add to the sealing to prevent air from entering; saran wrap comes off easily after time.
6. store in an area without variable temp / heat changes they are best if they are stored on lower shelving due to the heat rises. Dark and dry area preferred.
One area if you have the space can be in the house under the bathroom sink or kitchen sink in the far back of the cabinet. Use child locks if you have small kids.
This is an idea (#5) I have yet to try but sounds sane enough to work.

I have seen many items shipped over the years using shrink wrap and have seen paint on skids wrapped with cardboard (for stacking) and shrink wrapped to keep upright and from spillage. That is how this idea come to me. Enjoy! ... View related article.

RE: Easing Aching Legs With Rubber Bands
Bad advice putting rubber bands on the legs. Reason, even if it's not tight it's a restriction to the blood flow. Poor blood flow poor heart health. Your also hurting your vital organs and brain cells as blood cares oxygen. Some people with leg problems already suffer from blood circulation issues and just don't think about it that way. See your doctor. Don't gamble and do any damage you may regret. ... View related article.

RE: Dog Itching
Please try this:

Everything you described was happening to our dog. She had fleas but not enough to make her go through what she did. Even the vet tried different things on her. By accident we learned of an cure, and a possibility to what it was that started all this.

We have 2 types of grasses in the yard, plus some ivey and misc plants. We were taking her out front in the beginning. She to where she was having problems and acted scared whenever we'd take her out there we were confused as to what she was scared of so we started taking her out back outting her in the doggy pen area with the least plants and trees in it. Next hubby and I started letting her go to the bathroom on concrete driveway every time instead of the yard. BINGO!! she started doing better her biting whining and crying and itching subsided and then stopped. Her fur started getting better. Now it may have been a deep allergy to the one or both grasses, or plants but we are not sure which, what we do know is there is a big improvement and she is happier than she ever been.

Experiment with this idea maybe it will be what the problem is before you spend any more money at the vet. You should see some improvement in behavior in a 3-4 days but do give your dog a both to rid of excess dead skin tissue that is already there along with the area change. Good Luck!

RE: Uses For Drapes and Curtains
Once, I had some really nice light weight drapes (separate sets) that had small stains only on the lining side. My idea was with the pleats left in place that they would make a lovely skirts for the most part they were just the right length. I finally passed them onto another person that I believe transformed them into skirts.

Another idea I had was to cut them to a length needed to make bed skirt/ruffle. I would have cut them from the top of the curtains leaving pleats in place, with the rest of the fabric I would have made throw pillows or ottoman cover. I love the thought that they would give a new look to something else. ... View related article.

RE: What to Do With Coke Bottle Caps
Make a square piece of cloth or felt maybe 6x6 can be larger, cut 4 pieces of zig zag trim the length ot the fabric you've cut, with this make a tic tac toe lay out- by gluing the trim (lines) onto the fabric. Now gather those bottle caps for a game of tic tac toe. The color of the caps determines the team. Makes a good travel game for in the car going to grandmas house for holiday. You can glue the fabric or felt onto a surface if you want to make it a board. I just spray startched mine let it dry then fold and put it rubbermaid container with the caps. ... Here are some ideas for you.

1. Recover the foam with other adult prints and take them to nursing homes they make great bedrails guards for those that thrash and bump their legs and arms and helps prevent bedwounds and bruising that can be painful for the elderly.

2. Remove the print fabric and make ...matching curtains with the fabric, photo albums cover with the printed fabric, make pillows the fabric and stuffing, even you can make few baby clothes.

RE: How Can I Get Rid of Roaches?
Hi this worked for us. Try it.
Take your old underarm deodorant subs those little chunks at the end of the product before you toss the container and line them in the drawers. We used the powder kind and mostly the mens. We discovered by accident that the roach poop and eggs were absent in these drawers so we started spreading this in the kitchen area and other areas. We were careful to line the drawers with paper over the top in siverware and in some cases used small porous containers to contain the crumbled or chunks nother food areas. Gosh! it worked and reduced some of the infestation tremduously. We were glad to be deordoring these areas and limiting the infestation of bugs.
It should help you. Tell other family members to be frugal and give you these rather than tossing. ... View related article.
