RE: Abbie (Golden Retriever/Black Mouth Mountain)
Is this really your dog? I've had this picture in a "humor" file on my computer since 2005. I've since seen it in various joke emails plenty of times since then. Here's the picture I saved from an email that was titled "Hidden Cam Report: What do Pets do in the house when the owner's away?" It was dated May 28, 2005 ... View related article.

RE: Food Sticking to Stainless Steel Skillet
I have a Wolfgang Puck set of pans and I love them. I have very little problem with food sticking to them. I do as fionarx suggested..I heat the pan with oil (and it does not have to be a lot, just enough to cover the bottom of the pan) and once the food is in, I leave it be until its time to turn it. ... RE: Keep Cats Off Kitchen Counters
I had the same problem during the night. What worked for me was a cheap roll of masking tape. I turned the tape sticky side up over the counter leaving almost no room for the cat to step without stepping on the sticky side of the tape. It took a few days, but she got the hint. ... RE: Storing Large Bags of Dog Food
I use a large clear plastic bin (holds 2 37lb bags of dog food) with the locking handles...it allows me to see without opening it how much dog food is left, and the bin is low enough that the food at the bottom is able to be reached easily. For us, it keeps the raccoons out of it. Even in the garage, we've had them come up to snack on the pet food, along with a possom, and a family of skunks. ... View related article.

You can also try your local Freecycle group. I often see packaging materials posted. http://www.freecycle.org/ ... View related article.

RE: Rat Trap
I agree with both of you...do it humanely! To leave any creature stuck in glue to die is just plain cruel. I certainly hope no one follows Taura from jos suggestion. There are plenty of more humane ways available. ... View related article.

RE: Looking For Legitimate "Type-At-Home" Program
I did a search on the type at home program, and I'd like to add my 2 cents. The first rule of thumb for any job is that if you have to pay THEM to work, its a scam. Type at Home wants a $49.99 one time charge. That will "upgrade" you to the "VIP Members Area and Receive 3 Massive Bonuses To Boost Your Income!" Secondly, Type At Home is run by Billy Briggs.....do a google search and that should convince you that its a bad deal.
On a different note, I've contacted and done research on Alpine as Dana suggested. There is no money up front, they don't promise you the moon, just competitive and reasonable rates, they are up front with what they expect from you and give you a list of what you actually need at home to get started (nothing outrageous, just a good internet connection, land line, phone headset and set hours). The only reason I didn't sign up with them was because there were no positions in my area at the time.

RE: Is It Safe To Print Coupons?
You can also join freecycle and put in a request for extra coupons. I've seen people offering them in my local group. One other suggestion for coupons is if you know your newspaper carriers, ask them if they have any leftover papers that you could have the coupons from. Freecycle is http://www.freecycle.org/ . ... RE: Phone Safety: Telephone Number Search
Another site to check is dogpile.com...they also have a reverse look-up for phone numbers. Its not quite as obvious as Google. You first have to go to dogpile.com....then click on *white pages* without putting any info in...then click on *go fetch* and it brings up a page with *reverse lookup* on the top of the page. You can have them take your name out, but be sure to check back with them every couple of days until your name is gone. It took me asking them a few times for my name to be deleted, but eventually they got around to it. ... View related article.
