I agree with the other suggestions of color. I was thinking of something in the red, maroon, dark terra cotta. You've got the overhead lighting and can "punch" with white platters, etc above the cabinets and what a stand out that would be. What a fantastic suggestion - especially for time @ the computer, for me! 5 minutes invaribly turns into 30 before I know it! And, if the timer tells me to work for 10 minutes I will probably do what the timer says - just like, when my boys were little . . . I would tell them that when the big hand was on the 12 it was time for bed and they didn't argue, because it was the clock telling them, not Mom or Dad. AND - you can make 2 cards and another 2 cards alike; give Boy A card 1 and Boy B card 2, then next week give Boy A card 2 and Boy B card 1. Believe me, as a mother of boys, they will not compare - you'll be lucky if they have the card from week 1 by week 2! Another idea - make a "good luck" candy wrapper on your computer for a Hershey bar! Or get some lunch-size cookies and staple a "good luck" to the bag, along the top - guys can always eat! ...
