RE: Knit an Afghan in 7 Minutes a Day
That's a cool idea on how to get an afghan done one row at a time...good job! I keep my crocheting with me in the car and while waiting at long stop lights on my way to work I sometimes pick it up and crochet a few stitches. You'd be surprised how much you can get done at a light, and the looks you get from your fellow drivers. ... View related article.

RE: Dog is Licking Paws
My dog also licks her paws. She has allergies and I have read that this is part of the itching somewhere but they lick paws because they can reach them. I have also found that she does this when she is nervous or bored. Have you tried using an Elizabethan collar that you buy from the pet stores, just to wear for awhile to keep your dog from making the paws sore, and give them lots of toys to keep their mind off of it, in case it is boredom. She could still be having some kind of anxiety from when your husband was in the hospital, that was probably traumatic for her as well having the daily routine broken. My dog knows when something different takes place, even when my husband goes on a business trip. Good luck! I am also from Ky, living in VA now. Miss Ky! ... View related article.

RE: Pitbull Puppy That Bites
Unfortunately your puppy could have been sired from aggressive parents or fighters, if so you will have a hard time with him. But I do believe there is someone out there who can help you. I would hate to see you put him down. Try calling the Dog Whisperer, he is great! Are you using any lemon juice mixed with water in a spray bottle or plastic gun when he is doing this. Spray him in the face as he starts to attack you and he should learn this is not good behavior.

A dog that has to wear a muzzle is not having a good life. If he was abused before you got him then he has these instincts in him that will take a long time to get rid of but you will have to be consistent with your techniques and he should come around. I wonder if you try walking him with a choke collar will help too, this way you will have control over how far away from you he can get, so as not to bite other persons that get near you. I wish you the best! ... View related article.

RE: Biting Insect Indoors
I agree with the other posts, sounds like fleas, or bed bugs. It could be an insect that started at the warehouse where the carpets were stored. I would start by contacting the person/place I bought the mobile home from. They should be the ones sending an exterminator. I would try checking the canister and see if you can pull out any of the critters and contact your exterminator or a doctors office somewhere to see if they can identify the culprit, then you can treat for that particular problem. Did you get any new or used furniture that you brought into the home, they could have come out of these as well. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Neosporin Use on Dogs
Yes you can, but I wouldn't use it on deep cuts or wounds, take it to the vet. I use it on my dog occasionally. She has allergies and gets hot spots. I have recently started using 1/3 part Listerine, 1/3 part water and 1/3 part baby oil, works great, no itching in those areas now, I would think the Listerine would work diluted of course on the spot. My vet says it is ok but not to use a lot of creams on dogs as this doesn't let air get through to heal the areas. ... View related article.
