Living in KY all my life has brought many things to life for me. I love the rural communities, the seasons, and the friendliness that is all over the state. Best of all though, is I love our Kentucky Wildcat Basketball team...so you will surely see me as a true blue fan during this time.
Looking forward to meeting , sharing, the crafty side of the site, and the thrifty side as well, for I was taught, a dollar saved is worth its weight in gold for other things that make you smile!
As family members, such as grandparents, aunts...etc...even the elderly neighbor, gift baskets are wonderful. They can be filled with the little things that most elderly won't buy themselves, due to limited incomes, the little ''splurches'' we call them. Box of chocolates, nice little seasonal dish towels, grocery items that make a little time special. I use old sweatshirts to create fun halloween scarecrows, if winter shirts, then use to decorate the snow men...kids love it! Also, as suggested, have used them to make pillows for kids to use at ''nap-time'' in kindergarten, and at the reading centers @ public libraries where there is a story hour.
