The new Ziplock "Steamer" bags are super and come in regular and large size. Microwaving times are printed on the bag to help guide you along. The bags have a special seam that allows pressure to escape but not the product.

RE: Vacuum Seal and Freeze Fresh Vegetables
I freeze almost all of my corn on the cob and other vegetables. Most need to be blanched first in boiling water for a few minutes to stop the enzyme action.

If you have a deep fryer, try deep frying half cobs. They are great. Similar to roasted cobs.

I heard of a family that annually went to Alaska with lots of empty Mason jars to pack Salmon to bring back home. After years of doing this she learned of the idea of "bottle bread" and began filling all those jars with bread for her trips North. RE: Reheating Bread, Pizza and Rolls in the Microwave
Experiment. Start with 10 sec. and test it and then increase in 5-10 sec as necessary, until you find the ideal time for the future.
I freeze my bread, bagels, hamburger buns, etc., and thaw them in the microwave for up to 30 secs for some.
