RE: Cat With Eye Discharge
Twice, our cat has had eye discharge; can't remember if it was greenish or not. After washing my hands, I have wiped his eye with a wet, warm cotton ball. I hold it under warm water. I discard that ball and use a second clean, warm one to wipe it again. That took care of the discharge. The cat does not mind the wiping of his eye b/c of the warmth of the cottonball. ... RE: Juju (Sun Conure)
How darling! I never thought about allowing our parakeet to play in the sink; I've put a bowl of water in his cage. I can't wait to try this! ... View related article.

RE: Keeping Light Bulbs From Vibrating Loose
I thank everyone for their feedback. I did not mention that these bulbs are solar ones that must be positioned a certain way and a certain looseness for them to work. They easily become too loose so they do not work. ... View related article.

RE: Baked Low Fat Crispy Chicken Recipe
I oven bake chicken using the recipe on the Bisquik box, although I now just use plain flour instead of Bisquik (less expensive). I skin and wash chicken and drop pieces in plastic bag seasoned with salt & pepper and paprika. Meanwhile, a Pyrex dish is heating in the oven while the oven reaches 425 temp. When temp is reached, I put in a tablespoon of margarine. When melted, add the chicken pieces and bake 30 min. Turn the pieces over and bake for another 15 min. or til done. We love this, it's crispy, and you use only one tablespoon margarine. I think the key to crispness is having the dish preheated til oven reaches 425. I've found that you need to loosen the cooked pieces from the pan while pan is still hot. ... View related article.

RE: Remedies for Post Nasal Drip
Can you buy Benadryl there? I've had post nasal drip for years, and it can cause such a sore throat. Benadryl is an antihistamine; it stops the drip. It's very effective for me. You can buy the generic at Wal Mart. You could experiment with other brands of antihistamines as well, to see which works best for you. ... View related article.

RE: Toning Down A Bad Dye Job
This sounds really weird, but it was told to me from a customer help line from a hair coloring company. Wash your hair with dishwasher detergent, and keep your eyes closed! Another tip - use dandruff shampoo; it also will tone down a color. ... View related article.

RE: Kitten Isn't Meowing
Our male tabby squeaked for a couple of years; he no longer squeaks, but has a very soft meow. I've had cats all my life, and he's the first squeaker. ... View related article.
