I think if you own your own phone you don't have to sign a contract, or you can at least buy prepaid minutes. Look on EBay for cell phones, some of the basic used ones are pretty cheap, just be sure the provider services your area. You could also call the provider ahead of time (the seller will show on their listing what provider the phone is set up for) and ask them what plans they have that don't require a contract. Good one to check might be Verizon - I know for sure they have some prepaid plans. Good luck. GL :) ... View related article. |

Molly, By any chance does your brother wear those cool beanies everyone is wearing now? You can buy them on EBay for as cheap as 99 cents. Just go to EBay and search for "beanies." Good luck - picky guys are really hard to buy for! (Does he read anything?? Maybe you could get him a subscription to a car magazine or something for like $15) And I think the Tee-Shirt pillow is a great idea!! GL :) ... View related article. |

Chelsi, Wow! All parents wish their kids were as caring as you! How about checking out EBay? Alot of sellers out there (myself included) would make an exception to payments by PayPal and take money orders or cash from someone in your situation and you could find any number of gifts for your mom and others. (although you already have alot for her :) You could always have them shipped to a friend's house to keep her from knowing about them. And I agree with the others - nothing would mean more to her than a poem you wrote, or a letter telling her your fondest memories of her. As we age, we all wonder if we were good enough parents, if we gave our kids good memories (or only nightmares in our inexperience) :) Good luck - if your mom even knew you posted to this board to find ideas for more gifts for her, she would probably be moved to tears. Fat quarters, depending upon where they were purchased, can be very expensive to buy. The least expensive ones are usually about $.80, and more exclusive ones are $6-7 apiece.
