RE: Substitute For Powdered Milk
Does the recipe call for the powdered milk to be DRY or reconstituted? I have a recipe which calls for the powdered milk be used DRY. If that is the case you might try dry coffee creamer.

RE: Doubling a Baking Recipe
I had a bad result when doubling a loaf cake recipe. My daughter said that if a recipe has both baking powder and baking soda...do not double...I was really bad...really bad texture and taste.

RE: Jumbo Glue Sticks
If you can get them clean enough why not make some lip gloss and put it in the tube the glue is in. You could decorate the outside and add to a "beauty basket"

RE: Saving Paint in Plastic Soda Pop Bottles
The bottles are great to save paint when painting a room. Since the surface is smaller than in the paint can there is less "skin" on the top of the paint. You can see what color the paint is. Before pouring the paint in the bottlel (with a funnel) add a couple of marbles. When needed simply shake well and use. No need to stir as the marbles did the work for you. My daughter has saved paint in both the small bottles as well as the 2 liter bottles. Use permanent marker to write name of brand, color, room used in, etc.

They make a special drill bit just for glass and tile. You must drill at a low speed and keep the glass coll by misting with water while drilling. The drill can be bought at any hardware store...and they come in many sizes.

RE: Decoupage Newspapers on a Wall
You can use wallpaper paste, white glue or acrylic gel medium (matte finish or gloss). All can be bought in large quantities...wallpaper paste and white glue at Home improvement stores and acrylic gel medium at Art Supply Stores. I often use white glue and then when it is dry I seal it with a clear acrylic sealer like verathane (sp)?

RE: Uses for Oxygen Tubing
It is great to use as a stitch holder for knitters. I used to have some and just slip the stitches on it and then tie it together...

RE: Christmas Decoration with Postal Foam Beads
I did mine in a single strand and then painted gold and silver and used them as garlands on the tree....

I'm thinking of shrinking them with my heat guns to make little beads for jewlery... Hope it works...will see.
