Been there, done that! A realtor friend of mine taught me to go into these bigger hardware stores (aka Home Depot or Lowes) and ask for "Oops" paint, someone asked for a certain color and got the wrong color or the guy mixing it, goofed. The store had to keep the paint that was mixed wrong. I got a whole gallon of Ooops paint for about $1.50 (had 3 different ones to choose from, too) and my room turned out great! Is the netting you used TULLE? The soft, thin netting that bridal veils are made of? If so, I'm about to jump on a YARD OF THE STUFF...I have 8 cats and a dog that sheds like there's no tomorrow!
That just happened to me. I took off the cushion covers and crossed my fingers and put them in the washing machine! Along with the soap, I added some ODO-BAN (get it at Walmart or Sam's) and a lot of it! Maybe a cup and a half!
Then when the rinse cycle came up, I doubled the amount of the great smelling fabric softener. Dried them in the dryer, too on the easy cycle. Guess what? It worked! Do this at your own risk, as I did but mine was old stuff and maybe I was lucky. All I know is I can't smell cat urine on them anymore.
