| RE: Can a puppy wear a flea collar? |
Most flea collars are only for a dog who is six months or older but there is a brand that has one for younger dogs. I don't really reccomend one though because none of the ones I have found work. Sargents has a dip for puppies that is safe and they also have a topical that is the best thing I've found so far on the market for older dogs.
None of the home made recipies I've found so far have worked for my area, of course I havn't tried Borax yet since I have two kids that still play alot on my carpet. ... View related article. |

| RE: Rose Bushes With Brown Leaves |
|
I am not sure what the issue is, but I know what you are going through. My husbands rose bush did the same thing the middle of this summer. Now its fine. Its even getting ready to bloom for the second time this year. We didn't do anything to it, just scraped off what we could of the white stuff and watered like normal. ... View related article. |

| RE: Making Birth Announcements |
You could let your older child paint with pinks and blues on large sheets of paper. (reg. sheets would work too. just make sure they are strong enough to hold up to the paint. we use construction or newsprint) Just let him/her go wild. you will get the neatest abstracts you have ever seen. then tear them up into rectangles. Buy some cardstock at a craft store and attach the cut up pieces to the front. Then you can just write all the information on the inside. you could also add a photo to the top of the artwork on the front.
This way its personalized and your big kid gets to help. One more way to connect the two.

| RE: Gardenia Not Blooming |
|
I agree with the all day sunshine thought. Ours are taller then our chain link fence and get bigger every year. WE are in the southern states so it gets really hot during the summer. Ours bloom around mothers day and keep blooming until around the end of may. I would go ahead and plant it and if you really want to smell the blooms , plant it under a window. That way when they are blooming all you have to do is open that window. ... View related article. |

| RE: Tips for Styling Long Hair |
My hair is the same length. i am lucky that I have curly hair so pulling it back in a low ponytail works for me most of the time. I also wear it straight from time to time. When I do I have this same issue. (I have two little boys who are still in the hair grabbing stage.)
I tend to braid my hair into two braids on the hot days. When I want a classy updo that isn't jus a bun, I pull almost all of my hair up, leaving a litle in the front to pull behind my ear. Then I part my pony tail which is high on my head into about six diferent sections. I fold these into loops and pin the ends down. If Im nowt going anywhere fancy or don't feel like putting all that work into it, I just pull up the top half of my hair into a pony tail just below the crown and leave the little bit loose up front. I can pin this back so it blends into my pony or leave it hanging to put behind my ear as I please.
I also will do an upside down flip with my ponytail. I only pull half the pony tail through on the last trip through the band and leave a good bit of the ends loose. They will flop over the top of your makeshift bun and look very trendy.
Hope this has helped! ... View related article. |

| RE: Making Palm Trees for a Party |
Heres an idea from my child hood. They might not look exactly like palms but they will be fun!
Take newspaper and lay it out you are planning on rolling it on an angle so paint the parts that would be at ttop and some on the inside green. ( you can try painting afterwards but it will be very hard. I suggest making one plain first to get to know our design.) Then roll on aa diagonal. once rolled tape the outside edge down. Then from the top of your roll, cut downwards in thick strips. ( the wider the better for the palm look.) once you have them cut, grab in the center of the tops shreds and pull up. The paper inside shoud twist and pull out some. The top will look like a plant and the bottom a trunk. Then you could paint the bottom brown and Voila! you have a palm.
The were called Flibbers when I was a kid and were great fun to make. Kinda hard for kids to do on thier own though since you need some really good scissors to do this.
