RE: Activities for Special Needs Seniors
How about doing jigsaw puzzles, board games or card games? My elderly parents frequently put together 100-piece jigsaw puzzles. It keeps them occupied and they enjoy it too. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Green Stains in Tub and Around Fixtures
It sounds to me like it might be lime deposits. You could try something like CLR or another brand of remover. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Perfume Bottle Sprayer is Stuck
As a last resort, you could put the bottle in a Ziploc bag, seal it and then break the bottle. Then you could take a medicine dropper and transfer the perfume into the other bottle. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Rotten Meat Smell in the Refrigerator
I had the same problem when one of my renters moved out. You could try putting several boxes of opened baking soda in it. You could also try wiping down the entire refrigerator with vinegar, but I would suggest you leave it unplugged and open for a day or two if you do that. Charcoal should work also but with that you would need to keep the refrigerator closed. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Plastic Zipper Won't Work
You could try putting baby oil on the zipper with a Q-tip or something similar. Make sure there is something between the zipper and the back of the jacket so it doesn't get on the jacket fabric. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Balancing Life's Demands
You have had so much change in your life in the past year, it's no wonder you're overwhelmed. That's a lot to have to deal with in such a short time. I would suggest you talk with your doctor about it and ask him for his help. Getting out of the house will help too, like the others mentioned. Even if it's just walking around the neighborhood, that is better than being isolated in your house all day. You could also find a chat room on the internet and talk with other people while your husband's at work, if you're not able to get out of the house. That way you could stay connected with other people while at home and make new friends at the same time. ... View related article.

RE: Remedy for Hot Feet
Have you tried sunburn gel with aloe? I got a bad sunburn awhile back and it felt like my skin was on fire. Sunburn gel with aloe was the only thing that helped take away the fire. Another idea would be to put ice cubes or a small ice pack in your socks and put them on. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Refrigerator Stopped Working - Removing Odors From Spoiled Food
I've heard that crumpled up newspaper and charcoal briquets put in the refrigerator absorb odors. Arm & Hammer baking soda works too. I had to clean a refrigerator in a rental recently that had a lot of spoiled food left in it (the electricity had been disconnected). I used bleach to wipe down the inside, and then left the doors open for a few days to help remove the odor. I don't know what to do with the linoleum floor, though. Perhaps vinegar will help. Good luck! ... View related article.
