It is a good program. The "catch" on the free trial is pretty simple. You pay for shipping ($19) and if you don't like the program then you pay nothing else. I have been through all of the material and feel very good recommending it.
This is a fantastic idea. I teach this concept to parents also. The idea is that by getting your toddler to take ownership of something you get far less resistance. There are many situations where you can implement this.
