RE: Potpourri Smell in Refrigerator
I'd heard somewhere (perhaps here?) that filling an odoriferous fridge with crumpled newspaper for a day or two (use a lot of newspapers!) will help get rid of unwanted smells. It might be worth a try. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Teaching a Child to Knit
There's a wonderful book called Sunny's Mittens that you might find useful. It's a story about a grandma who teaches her granddaughter to knit mittens. The instructions are very clear and the story is lovely. The book can be found at Amazon.com. Best of luck with the projects! ... View related article.

RE: What Breed is My Dog?
This looks just like our little Foxiianna! Our baby is part chihuahua and part Cairn terrier, so we call her a Cairnhuahua. We've had her a year and just love her to death! If that is her lineage then she won't shed much because Cairn terriers don't shed. What a wonderful ending to quite a story. You're wonderful to care for her & keep her. ... View related article.

RE: Recipe for Walmart's Red Sauce
Here's what I use after realizing that I could make the red enchilada sauce myself and save some bucks.

4 cups
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cumin
2 tablespoons mild chili powder
4 tablespoons flour
4 cups chicken broth
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

1. Mix spices and flour in olive oil in saucepan over medium heat until fragrant and starting to brown.
2. Slowly add chicken broth and tomato sauce and cook and stir until thickened.
3. Use as red sauce over any beef, cheese or poultry enchiladas.
4. A good mild sauce than can be easily"warmed" up by adding jalapenos, chipotles or other spices.

Happy cooking! BeckiB
