RE: Lick Your Fingers to Open Plastic Bags
I would never lick my fingers or even touch my face in the grocery store. My solution is to wet them with the produce itself. They are always spraying the produce so just run your hand over a wet product. I usually don't take those bags, though, because that's just more waste. They are nice for wet garbage while preparing a meal though! ... View related article.

RE: Craft: Taggie Baby Blanket
Great economical idea! I'm impressed that you used everything you already had. I may be able to do this as well now that you've shared your genius idea. I just became grandma of the second baby yesterday and would love to have something homemade for her. Thanks. ... View related article.

RE: Removing Coffee Stains from the Rim of Coffee Cups
This reminded me of what I discovered with my mug at work. If you just dip a paper towel or napkin in the coffee and rub it around inside the cup it all comes off. There's usually enough cold coffee left in the cup when I'm done drinking it. No special items or sink needed! ... View related article.

RE: Buying Inexpensive Flannel Backed Plastic Tablecloths
I buy mine at King's variety store (western states) when they're on sale in the summer and I use them for PAINTING cloths. They work especially well on carpeted floors as the flannel backing sticks to the carpet and holds them in place while you paint. Much cheaper than painting cloths and much more sturdy than plastic covers. ... View related article.

RE: Make Your Own Air-wick
I'm confused as to exactly what you used to hold the scent. Just a piece of fabric stuffed down inside? Why not do some scented candle wax or the smelly jelly type stuff? You can also buy empty deodorant tubes on the net for fairly cheap. Used containers would be hard to accumulate very fast and wouldn't be completely sanitary, although I do understand that it would help the environment. They could be put through the dishwasher also. I'm going to be giving this some more thought. Thanks for the idea. ... View related article.
