I am a a59 year old australian born widow who lives in Australia but also stays in usa with friends, four times since 2005.
I have been thrifty since 21 years ago, when i first went to a thrift shop (second hands shop called here in australia) to buy clothes as i had retired and was not working and we were living on my husband wages.
I find that a lot of the clothes are brand new and well know brands and my late husband also had designer clothes from the second hand church shops and we used to love going once a week to different ones and bought odds and ends for our home.
Also like to save on things on special and marked down, other wise i would not be afford to travel over seas.
I am 60 years old and also a widow, I don't drive, I am on a widows pension and got a senior card, this year and having been trying to be thrifty for many years.
I live in Australia but I do go to Tennessee for six months of the year whilstIi still can afford it on my widows pension, I do have a daughter but hardly see her from another marriage as she has her own life she is thirty and lives with her boyfriend and I probably if I am lucky hear from her every two or so months as she lives about 1 hour or so away each way.
