Check on-line to see if your state/city has freecycle.com. A lot of people give furniture away on there. In order to start asking for things, however, you will need to "give" first. ... View related article. |

| RE: Ideas for Different Themes for Combo Rooms |
My idea is to building folding room dividers out of panels. On one side you can paint it to look like castle walls and even have a dragon peeking in. On the other you can paint it with the these of whatever you're decorating your kitchen in. As the previous poster said, however, the key to making your room look larger is making them flow into each other so if you don't have the divider then you will need to make sure the colors compliment each other and that it doesn't look choppy or silly together. Mirrored walls also help a room look larger. So even if you put up the room divider then if you put mirrored tiles on the other side it would make it look like the castle walls were on both sides of the room. ... View related article. |

| RE: Scrapbook for Student Assignment |
As Marta wrote, there are tons of cheap pages and items for scrap booking at the Dollar Tree. Another idea is to use your color printer and get graphics off the Internet. I usually do a search for "Free Email Sig Tags" and then copy them to my hard drive so I can print or paste them to my emails etc. He could even print a photo of himself at the top of the page that you've printed out from the computer. ... | RE: Redoing a Bedroom Without Painting |
I absolutely love going to the Dollar Tree and they have those wall decals and even have floor tiles and wall borders. And the perk is that everything is only a dollar. I bought cute little green/yellow baskets for my wash cloths (I roll them) and various containers for shoes, headbands, ribbons, barettes (sp?) etc. Another idea is to go to the local thrift shops. I also love Goodwill. I get some brand new (still with tags on) from them. I believe Target has a partnership with them to give them any things that didn't sell clearanced. Target gets a tax write off and Goodwill has brand new items to sell even cheaper. Anyway, good luck and again, I love Dollar Tree & Thrift Shops to keep my costs down. ... View related article. |
