RE: Dog Scratching But I Don't See Any Fleas
My Baby, beagle dog, Buster had similar symptoms a while back. A trip to the vet revealed it was his anal glands, which needed to be expressed.
Now, I know when he suddenly stops as if something is biting him, or when he licks more in that area, it's time again. As they grow older it's more frequent.
i'LL LET YOUR VET EXPLAIN ANAL GLANDS TO YOU, but I'm sure this is your baby's problem, from my own experience. ... View related article.

RE: Meet Sir Eatsalot! (Beagle)
How Precious!
Look forward to much love and a bit of stubborness.
My beagle, Buster, just turned seven. Beagles are very intelligent, and wish to please you. When I praise Buster for his smelling abilities, and all the tricks he knows, and the games we play, he is a happy baby dog. Buster is my baby dog and I love him so much!
I hope Sir Eatsalot brings you as much pleasure and love as Buster has me.

RE: Keeping a Piano In Tune
Have been playing playing my heart out on my piano tonight, and it's in perfect tune! I plan to keep it that way! My Beagle/puppy dog is rolling his eyes at me, wondering if I'll ever go nite-nite.
I'm going now.
Thank you Robin for the tip at the perfect time for me!!
Good night and may God bless you!

RE: Keeping a Piano In Tune
Thank you, Robin.....I have a God given talent to play the piano. I haven't played for a long while, for numerous personal reasons. My daughter-in-law asked me a few weeks go, "Have you been playing your piano?" I dusted it and the keyboard today, but just didn't feel the need to play, again!
I will play my piano before I go to sleep tonight and more often. I really don't care if it's in tune or not, because it has been a great gift of talent from my Father/God, and He's always 'in tune'.
Thank You for this post.......it was what I needed to spark me back into reality today!
Thank you !

RE: Birds As A Bad Weather Predictor
Terri, I'm happy to know someone else appreciates the sense of nature and is 'tuned in'!
We all can learn a lot by observing God's creatures and creation!

RE: Mr. Drac - Call Waiting
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PHOTO !
Mr. Drac reminds me of my deceased 'Titten Tat'.
Living in Florida, the background landscape adds to Mr. Drac's waiting for a phone call.

RE: Daisy at 8 Weeks
Precious puppy!
Sounds like a 'luck puppy'. in a loving home.
That's how my 90 yr. old Mom decided on her companion. At the Humane Society, this little puppy stood up and looked us straight into our eyes. My sister insisted that Mom needed an older, German Shepard type dog. So we looked and looked, then Mom said , "That little black puppy wanted me, and I want her." Kelly (lab/chow mix), is the best friend/companion for Mom. I could write a book, but won't now, because you mentioned Shiloh, your beagle. I have the most precious beagle, ever, in my eyes! He's Buster, my baby/dog, and the smartest and most handsome Beagle ever! (I'm seeing through "Mommie Eyes", you know.)
Hope you'll see pics of Buster soon. ... View related article.

RE: Looking For Home Makeover Advice For My Mom
My elderly Mom also lives in Florida. A few years back her home was getting old (44 yrs. old), had no insulation, old windows in which cold air blew through the cracks, etc We heard about a federal grant that is alloted to each county in Florida.
Mom had to totally move out of the house. They furnished a semi truck's trailer for to move her furnishing into. They installed insulation, paneling, new flooring, new double paned windows(19 of them). They removed her tub and put in a walk-in shower, a raised toilet, etc. The grant paid $26,000. to the contractor! They fixed her house so she could be warm and comfortable in her elder years.
Check with your County Comissioner, or just call the Court House of your county and ask about this program. There's a bit of paper work and qualifing, but for my MOM, it was a gift from God. She's 90 years old now, and enjoys her warm, pretty, comfortable home, which is where she can remain in her latter days. I know of others who have benefitted from this program.
This may not be the 'make over' you are thinking of, but enjoyed sharing Mom's blessings! ... View related article.

RE: Problem With Neighbor - My Dog's Life is in Danger!
My dog is a beagle. He's an inside/outside dog, because I live in a rural area where deer, raccoons, opposums, etc., etc., may appear at my back door at any time...things that may harm him, or the other way around. My dog is like a child to me, and there's no way that I want any harm to come to him, therefore, He goes out on a leash to do his 'business'. We also go for long walks in the woods which is very good for him and great exercise for me. When I'm working in my yard, he's off his leash, but I always know where he is. It's like having a small child...always knowing where he is. Obedience training from you or a school is VERY important! If I can't see him, I'll say, "Buster, come!" When he does, I make a big "to-do" and really praise him for being so good.
I don't know the 'whole picture', but there is no reason for your dog to be in someone's back yard without permission or your' being with him.
Maybe we'll see you on 'Judge Judy", or "Judge Joe Brown'? ... View related article.
