I want to thank everyone on this website! My 4 month old pit is still alive today because of the advice I got from you all. The raw eggs is the trick! Along with the pedialyte, pepto, and gatorade. I had done everything except the eggs and I know night before last that if I hadn't found this website Nyxie would be dead. Today she is drinking on her own, I'm still giving her the eggs because she won't eat on her own. But she is following me around the house, jumping up on the couch and even let out a bark trying to play with my husband.
She is still weak and I know that it will still take her awhile to be herself again but thanks to this website at least she has a chance. My only advice is if you love your dog and can't afford the huge vet bill, show her constantly that you love her and NEVER ever give up, because if you do your dog will. My 4 month old pit bull Nyxie got very sick 4 days ago, I took her to the vet he sent me home with antibiotics and a thick liquid called STAT, he said to help replace protein and nutrients. Anyway, I haven't been asleep trying to save her round the clock. About 3 hours ago she decided to take a drink of water by herself and was even walking around, an hour ago it all came up, the first vomit was clear, of course. The second had blood in it, this is the first time she has vomited blood. Now she is back to being lethargic and breathing is shallow the vet doesn't come in for 3 more hours, PLEASE if anyone reads this Please help me. My email is dreamride24 AT yahoo.com.
