I agree with the pillow idea! But, instead of using a solid black or beige pillow - try finding a print that has both beige and black in it!
Or you could make basic geometric designs out of beige and black material; such as a 4 or 9 block quilt pattern, 2 triangles or even 4 triangles sewed together to make a block, etc. You could come up with your own design and be as creative as you want! You could make 2 different blocks and sew them together to make a pillow front and back and when you wanted something new, just flip the pillow over.
You could also get fleece fabric by the yard at a fabric store and make a throw out of it with just a simple blanket stitch in either the same color or the 2nd color.
A Granny Square afghan with the Granny Square alternating colors. Start with beige for middle and do an additional round, then 2 rounds of black and finish with 2 rounds of beige. You could do the whole afghan this way or do every other round a different color. Or do a Granny Square of solid beige and then solid black and make a checker board pattern.
What about adding an additional color? Say burgundy to your throw or pillows? Or crochet the throw in a variegated yarn? We have a blue, green, burgundy and gold plaid couch and solid beige love seat. I made a afghan for the beige love seat using Lion Bran Homespun "Prairie" yarn. It has beige and the colors of the couch all in one yarn. It really pulled the room together!

You could take a large, thick pillar candle in the center of the jar bottom and then put small rocks or glass pebbles around the candle to stabilize the candle. Put them outside use as luminaries. I guess you could use them for decoration inside as well, on the counter top or tables?
We did this down the walkway in front of the house one year at Christmas time and it was really pretty! I got the candles at the dollar store and I used all white candles.
You could use other colors at Christmas (red, gold, green, etc.) or switch them out depending on the holiday. Red for Valentines, green for St. Patrick's, pastel for Easter, etc. You could use more than one color candles: red and green for Christmas or red, white and blue for the 4th of July!
I would have to agree with US 13! We live in Northeastern NC and travel up to see my in-laws in NJ. Especially with little ones that "need to go" you are able to stop in one of the small towns along the way.
We usually spend the night in Rehoboth Beach, DE (which is about 1/2 way for us). We also catch the Cape May Ferry at Lewes, DE to Cape May, NJ or vice versus on the way home. It is a nice break for around an hour as you enjoy the scenery.
You would probably want to avoid the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and Southeastern VA during rush hour times. Save travels and Welcome to NC! Elizabeth ... View related article.
For my wedding I used "ivy" bowls with ivy around the base and a wide but short pillar candle in the ivy bowl. My colors were purple and fuschia and I was able to find the candles in those colors. I also bought wide ribbon (not cloth but the type use with floral arrangements) in the purple and fuschia. On one table I would take one color of ribbon and run it down the entire lenght of the table and then place an ivy bowl with the opposite color candle on top of the ribbon. I got the ivy bowls for less than a dollar each a Micheals. ... View related article.
