RE: Natural Remedy for Itchy Puppy
We give our dog a once a month pill for fleas called Sentinel. There are other things that can cause iching such as shampoos if you have bathed your pup you have to make sure you rinse the shampoo out very well some dogs will get very ichy if any shampoo residue is left on them. Best of luck ... View related article.

RE: Housebreaking Older Dogs
Is there no one home during the day? Is that why she is in a crate all day? Don't know why you keep her in the crate. She should be out of the crate when people are home not locked up. As far as going to the bathroom, she needs to be able to eat and drink enough to do her business. Hope this helps. ... View related article.

RE: My Dog is a Picky Eater
We have a maltese and feed her Royal Canin. They make a food especially for small breeds. The kibble is tiny and easier for small dogs to chew. We had found that regular puppy food kibble was too big for her and she couldn't chew it. Worth a try. ... View related article.

RE: Housebreaking a Chihuahua
Oh dear lots of small dog potty problems.I have heard that small dogs are a little harder to potty train because they have very small bladders. First i think you should go outside with her while she pees/poos and reward her when she does. If your using doggy pads indoors as well get rid of them you are confusing her. Pick one and stick with. ... View related article.

RE: German Shepherd Puppy is Becoming Aggressive
There are lots of books. Check your library. I like Cesar Millan, he also has a website. Just remember never become physically aggressive with the puppy it will make things worse. It's not too late but take action now. Maybe your vet can help you as well. Don't be shy about asking people for help. Maybe you could even email Cesar Millan I think he is amazing. Best of luck let us know how things are going ... View related article.

RE: Puppy is Aggressive When Playing
It is also very important that your dog is getting lots of regular exercise, these two breeds are very high energy level and need alot of running around. sometimes dogs will misbehave if they are bored and not being stimulated. Work on the training after your dog has had lots of running around time as he might be abit calmer and easier to train ... View related article.

RE: 3 Month Old Puppy That Bites
After reading your other advice tips let me say never hit your dog you could make your dog very fearful, then one day you might go to pet your dog but the dog thinks you are going to hit him and end up bitting you in defense. This all takes time keep working at it training is an ongoing thing my pup is 8 months. I always expect her to behave a certain way, i still make her sit or lie down for things and she know i mean it so she listens. I also keep her out of the kitchen while we eat either with a gate or i crate her. ... View related article.

RE: 3 Month Old Puppy That Bites
Oh I hope I can help. Always hand feed your pup until he stops biting you while he is eating. Make him sit and feed him one or two kibbles at a time, that way he knows you control his food. Everyone in the family should do it, making him sit first that way he knows everyone is the alpha dog.

If you take a toy away from your pup and he growls and doesn't let go of the toy, do not let go of it very slowly inch your hand up the toy so you are holding most of the toy every time the pup starts to release a bit of the toy you inch your hand up the toy more and more until you are holding the toy.

Make him sit for his toys too keep doing these excercises until he releases on his own. It is very important that you and your family become alpha dog. Cesar Millan has some great books check your library or his web site. Oh make sure you walk out of the house first then the dog, people first dog last. Hope this is a start Let me know if it helps. ... View related article.
