RE: Baby Sling Carrier Pattern
Thank you Jilson. All three sites are great. Once I make one, I will do my best to post a picture of it.

RE: Green Baby Shower For Earth Day
Another idea I had to go green for a baby shower was to put the gift in a reusable cloth tote. When I had suggested that to my daughter she actually found one at the major baby store she had shopped in for the gift. She did put in some tissue but actually gave the gift in the tote and it was a big hit at the shower. ... View related article.

RE: Craft Project: One Yard Apron
This was very nostalgic for me. When I was in eighth grade (1957-1958) this is the very way I made my apron...my first sewing project. Now, I am thinking of making some of these for Christmas gifts this year.
Thanks for reminding me of this. ... View related article.

RE: Vaseline Stains on Clothing
I have never actually tried this for Vaseline, but I have gotten many very stubborn stains, including lipstick, grass stains, and black grease from a car by wetting the stain with cold water and rubbing it down really good with a bar of Ivory soap....let it sit for a long while before washing as usual. If it is a really bad stain, it might take more than one treatment. I like this much better than spray and wash. Works great on baby formula stains too. ... View related article.

RE: Portable Sewing Kit in a Prescription Bottle
I love these ideas.

I have a bag full of Rx bottles, that a local hospital will take for recycling to third world countries.
But I always keep some myself for things like this.

Another thing that I found, a small Rx bottle holds Ten Dollars in quarters. I have given those with the label removed as a gift for a kid's birthday and even for a college student having to use washers.

I am going to make a Boo-boo kit now, and a sewing kit for my overnight bag. ... View related article.

RE: Use Pill Bottles To Store Seasonal Hardware
I have several Rx I take each month. The empty bottles hold ten dollars worth of quarters. Good way to keep your saved quarters. I have given bottles of quarters as a birthday gift at the last minute. You could even decorate the bottle with contact paper. ... View related article.

RE: Making a Tied Flannel Blanket
Thanks all of you. I do mean fleece. I mistakenly reffered to the fabric as flannel as I have heard many do and knew they were wrong. Fleece it is. I basically need to know if it need to be sewn together first and how to do the corners. ... View related article.

RE: Ideas For Doing Remote Baby Shower
I have not read if anyone else has suggested this, but I think it would be neat to invite friends and relatives to a Gift Card shower for your daughter.
They could get the cards at WalMart, Target, or a baby store that is located in the same town your daughter is in.
That way she could get exactly what she needs.
I would request that no gift, only gift cards, since they all have to be mailed to her. Or another thing they could do, if she is registered somewhere, go on line and have the gift sent directly to her.

At the shower, just serve refreshemnts and maybe have the guests write cards with 'motherly' advicee and words of wisdom for your daughter.

For decorations, if you have any ultrasound pictures display them and any pregnant pictures of your daughter. If possible talk with your daughter during the shower.

My daughter had her baby three and a half weeks early this summer....the day she had a shower scheduled. Her friend brought the cake and plates to the hospital the next day.

Best wishes for a safe delivery and healthy baby and mom. ... View related article.

RE: Swimming With Strep Throat?
I would think that if your daughter is not running a fever, her throat doesn't hurt and she is on the anitbiotics, she could swim as long as she doesn't get a chill. But to be safe, I truly think you should call the doctor's office to ask. ... View related article.

RE: What is the name of this song?
At This Moment by Vera Billy & the Beaters..

I always loved it too....
What did you think
I would do at this moment
When youre standing before me
With tears in your eyes
Tryin to tell me that you
Have found you another
And you just dont love me no more.
What did you think
I would say at this moment
When Im faced with the knowledge
That you just dont love me
Did you think I would curse you
Or say things to hurt you
Cause you just dont love me no more
Did you think I could hate you
Or raise my hands to you
Now come on, you know me too well
How could I hurt you
When, darling, I love you
And you know (and you know) Id never hurt you
What do you think
I would give at this moment
If youd stay, Id subtract twenty years from my life
Id fall down on my knees
Kiss the ground you walk on
If I could just hold you again
Id fall down on my knees
Kiss the ground that you walk on
If I could just hold you
If I could just hold youagain
What did you think
I would do at this moment
Oh, cant you see
Im begging you, girl
Dont walk out on my world
What did you think
I would do at this moment
Im on my knees for you, baby
Please dont leave me
Please dont walk out of that door
What did you think
I would do at this moment
Im going to spend the rest of my life with you, girl
Please dont go. ... View related article.
