| RE: What Kind of Snake is This? |

Looks like a black rat snake. It's hard to tell because the photo is at such a distance. If it is a rat snake, they are very beneficial to have around! They are also non-poisonous. ... View related article. |

| RE: What Do You Think of Facebook? |
|
I love Facebook! It is a great way to keep up with friends, family and organizations that I belong to. I'd be lost without it. If you set your site to private, ONLY people that you authorize to view your information can access your page. I've never had any problems, spam or hackers. Also, using the "tabs" that Kas mentioned is not difficult. They are a good way to keep up with music, videos, and other things. As far as the games and other apps, yes you are requested to "send things to others", but if you look at the fine print just under the list of names, you will find a "skip this step" button. As Kas said, there are good and bad things about any free service. If you pick and choose carefully, you should be able to safely enjoy all that Facebook has to offer. BTW, I'm not a spring chicken or a techno geek, just a middle aged mom who taught herself to use the computer :) ... View related article. |

| RE: Pull Your Coupons Off Products Before Checkout |
|
Careful about this! Sometimes the store will not honor a coupon unless the cashier removes it. I know that several of our local supermarkets offer discount coupons on produce or dairy that is close to the expiration. These coupons must be removed by the cashier at the checkout register to be valid. If you remove it yourself before proceeding to checkout, the store will not honor it! Check your store's policy before following this advice. ... View related article. |

| RE: Latex Paint Over Oil Based Primer |
|
There are some people who say that this can be done, don't listen to them. Sure you can paint the latex over the oil based paint and it will look okay for a week or so. Then the first thing that bumps the wall will peel it up like a sheet of saran wrap. Been there, done that, don't ever plan to do it again! ... View related article. |

| RE: Snakes in House |
|
If you found the skin, the snake has probably shed and returned to the outside-especially this time of year. He will be looking for food (and snakes of the opposite sex). Unless you have a food source inside, ie. mice, frogs, lizards etc., what you should be looking for is how he got into the house. Snakes can come inside through a small opening. A gap around the dryer vent, a garage door that doesn't close all the way, a missing screen on the crawlspace vents. Just make sure that any areas where the snake can gain entrance are sealed and he won't be able to return. ... View related article. |

| RE: Recycling Window Curtain Packaging |
When my young son went to camp, I used these smaller bags to hold shower supplies. They are great for carrying kid-sized shower flip flops, a travel sized shampoo and a small soap to the shower house. You can also make a "get-ready-for-the-day" bag with toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, Q-Tips, a comb and folding water cup. Thread a colorful shoelace through the zipper pull, so that the bag can be hung up on the towel hook. (Make sure that the shoelace is well-knotted for hanging.)
The larger bags can hold sheets and towels for their cabin. ... View related article. |

Make sure that you enable the WEP or WPA encryption modes on your Linksys when you set it up. You should have been asked to set this up when you ran the original installation cd. If not, go back and reinstall the Linksys cd and check the box that sets up the encryption mode. Follow the instructions that come up on the screen. It's very easy! ... View related article. |

| RE: Black and White Snake in Georgia |
It was probably a kingsnake or a rat snake. Both are harmless and good to have around to keep moles and mice away from your yard. Kingsnakes (see image below) also prey on venonous snakes. If you see any kind of snake that you can't identify, leave it alone. Back off slowly and give the animal an escape route. They are more afraid of you than you are of them. More images at
