I made lip gloss/chapstick at home. Very easy.. melt Crisco and add any flavor to it, experiment from jelly, to vodka, to coke. Anything edible really. I also wash my featherbed mattress covers in the big machines at the laundry mat. The key is to dry, dry, and over dry to insure the feathers get dry and don't get moldy later. ... View related article.

I always use Palmolive Dish Soap and the hottest water you can use for the fabric for any "food stains."
